Here it was just a humorous website - if Modi/his fans can't even accept this kind of humor then I must say he will have a really tough time ahead.

The issue was of harassment and abuse to the owner of the website. In addition, the phone number on the registered domain received threat calls. Such jingoism is extremely crass and IMO should account to punitive action.

BTW there's already a "rahulgandhiachievements" site and its been there for around 2 years IIRC - I don't remember the owner being harassed/abused/site taken down.

But, just like there can be legal recourse - there can be online condemnation of the jingoists as well. It is not a EITHER/OR situation.
