superstar Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 If KKR offered me 2.4 million Dollars, I will be practicing 20-20 afternoon, morning and night...I will not even go to bed :fishing: http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/video_audio/568311.html?page=5;skip_objects=570265%2C570235;genre=21 Some one speaking with sense
superstar Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 BCCI's criticism After Holding..Grieg..Miandad...it is now Chappell. Without BCCI these fools will be jobless. The kind of articles they write will only be published in Cricinfo. Thankfully BCCI has given them something to write about or else they will be admitted to mental institutions He has come come with an amazing idea of only the top 8 nations being capable of playing test cricket. http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/570529.html This is definitely the gem. Ian chappel will fund all the teams by writing more articles :antijinx: T20 can be used to foster a wider appeal and open up strong markets in places like the Americas, Europe, Japan and Malaysia. This is best done on a city-franchise basis so that teams in, say, Florida, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur have a chance of competing on an equal footing with sides from Mumbai and Melbourne. I think there is a competition on Cricinfo as to who will propose the most stupidest idea. This article 2 years ago has set the bar though There is actually a solution so compellingly simple, logical and obvious that you just know it can never happen: the BCCI cedes control over the IPL and the Champions League to the ICC, which makes them into genuinely global tournaments with franchises in every Test-playing country, and in due course perhaps some non-Test playing ones too. http://www.espncricinfo.com/decadereview2009/content/story/440354.html
saneindian Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Sabko IPL ka contract de do yaar, saare chup ho jaayenge. They are all feeling left out.
Number Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 the BCCI cedes control over the IPL and the Champions League to the ICC, which makes them into genuinely global tournaments with franchises in every Test-playing country yeah sure.
jairamesh Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 This sums the anguish of those who have been left out and those who are part of IPL: (superstar quoted from Boycott's interview) If KKR offered me 2.4 million Dollars, I will be practicing 20-20 afternoon, morning and night...I will not even go to bed :fishing: http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/video_audio/568311.html?page=5;skip_objects=570265%2C570235;genre=21 Some one speaking with sense Makes sense, I am not sure which idiot would profess to play Tests for the "love" of his country whilst being paid peanuts compared to even "2nd ring" Aussies being paid 100K plus for a 4 week slogfest. Same applies to all the pundits and commentators involved in the IPL. If Tests wants to survive then ICC need to provide larger prize money, innovate to make it relevance in today's time, and more entertaining.

Someone tell the idiot that IPL is India's domestic tournament and that CLT20 is 50% owned by India. These whites are like the old time British Imperialists. They would love to plunder India's wealth. I think the real issues with these guys (including Tony Grieg) is not the BCCI or DRS, but the success of IPL.
jairamesh Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Someone tell the idiot that IPL is India's domestic tournament and that CLT20 is 50% owned by India. These whites are like the old time British Imperialists. They would love to plunder India's wealth. I think the real issues with these guys (including Tony Grieg) is not the BCCI or DRS' date= but the success of IPL. Exactly. Might sound simplistically lame but in terms of Indian cricketing world it's apt. These feckers love to talk in metaphors, twisting and turning things. But at the end of the day they all want a piece of the pie (or action, or IPL glitz&glamour etc.) Hell, sometimes I get jealous reading about some hopeless sh!te like Rahul Sharma and Parnell smoking pot and partying in Mumbai, whilst getting paid US$500k plus for four weeks of fun & frills. The likes of Tony Grieg see some feck like Dan Christian minting millions or Bollinger cupping Katy Perry's tits. And think "feck! if I can't have it, then they shouldn't have it!" Basically Tony Grieg wants some IPL tits and dough.
