Michael is a mean SOB , but he has a valid point. We need to have universally health care for all ASAP . But he is hardly an independent , because he conveniently ignores the malice of trial lawyers in this whole issue. The cabal which benefit from our misery in this whole deal are big insurance firm , big pharmaceutical firms, doctors and but lastly and certainly not the least trial lawyers. Chew this , Democratic presidential nominee John Edwards has amassed 73 millions dollars by winning legal suits against OBGYN purely on junk science.

And speaking of amassing money edwards is infinitely better than almost all republicans forerunners and leaders.

junk science? you know that word reaks of fox news bullshit. anyways, i put this before you. there is this incredibly successful lawyer who has a personal fortune of some 40 million out of which he made 14 in one lawsuit and the a majority of the rest in fighting the big tobacco industry and winning compensations for his clients. such have been the rulings that if the outcomes were to be used as statutes for future class action law suits against the tobacco industries, winnings in excess of 20 million would be ordinary affairs. so should be cast stones on this lawyer because he has been so successful? and p.s. a majority of john edwards fortune has come from a single case in which he was successful and collected the customary 1/3 of the winnings. if there is one thing that the united states does well, its the judicial system and it keeps people honest, and may i even add: safe.
