In Australia, in Norway and now in US Mr. Saha said that his son and daughter-in-law were being denied access to their child over the past few days. The couple landed in New Jersey on July 22. On August 9, their son fell from the bed and suffered injuries to the head. He was admitted to Morris Town Memorial Hospital and according to his father, had to undergo a surgery. http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/article3875124.ece The interesting part is He added that it was difficult for him to bear the cost of hiring a lawyer. When India arranges a diplomatic staff and lawyer tax payers money is going to be used. Samething happened in Norway. We had to send fly a couple of embassy officials from India. To add to all this it turned out to be an internal family issue. I think it is high time the govt introduces an immigration fee to subsidies the services the embassy offers. Btw I am an NRI as well :--D
