Players lacking in confidence and ability don't suddenly develop form and confidence just because the captain has assured them a place in the side. That's gross injustice to the players waiting in the wings.

It is based on the decision's merit, logic and intuition. It fails both tests and hence it was a stupid decision which worked. If results were the sole indicators of decision making, Ricky Ponting would be the BEST captain of the modern era - he's of course not. Same as Yadav? What exactly you mean there?

So a captain can't go out of the way? He should have just seen the stats sheet and gave the ball to Bhuvi/Yadav. Right? If it worked that way, we wouldn't have seen only one MS Dhoni. I meant swap Ishant and Yadav(Ishant : 2-0-10-1, Yadav : 3-0-27-0 and he goes to Yadav in 18th). People would have praised Dhoni for showing confidence in Yadav because he is phaaaaaast.

Dhoni never had any problems in the ODIs. His weakness comes away from home in tests and t20s in general. Lets see if that has changed.....
