badguy Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 The following list contains a very biased view of the Ideal XI team that will beat any side in cricket. With this lineup of players almost as good as me, this team is good enough to beat any team in the world and get that WC. So ok, yea, here's the team: 1. Upul Tharanga: The player is genius, wat else can iz say. The ONLY playing legend today after Murali. With him in the side, the team is most likely to win. Tharanga has shown true capability of playing almost all kinds of shots and is very, very solid against all types of deliveries. Bowlers will be having a tough time trying to figure out where to bowl to him. The absolute essential to any side!!! 2. Muttiah Muralitharan: He is our no.1 bowler and will be highly useful in the subcontinental pitches. Almost always he will take at least 1 or 2 key wickets here. But as an opener with Tharanga, the opposing sides will always fear having to bowl to them. If the names Sanath-Kalu or Gilchrist-Hayden gave people shivers down their spine, just imagine as vividly as you can how stunned and fearful ppl will be at the Tharanga-Murali combo. k, yea 3. Lasith Malinga: As a bowler, he is renowned for being the fastest bowler in cricket today. Those searing yorkers and bouncers are proving too difficult for ALL batsmen(except 1). He will be very, very handy in this lineup. As a No.3, he will show teams, not only Australia, that he can bat long innings and bat long and hard. As a batsmen, he's known for winning matches in the last minute. 4. Jonathan Trott: Since making the England team he's been making some runs here and there. The reason he was placed here is because the first 3 were Sri Lankan. 5. ©Kumar Sangakkara: Sangakkara, a big match winner. He's shown consistency in all forms of the game and is wat i rank the best captain in cricket today. Coming in second with a close fought battle with Sanga was Michael Clarke with his legendary ways of captaining and coming in last from all the captains was Dhoni for his lack of good captaining and too much whining and complaining. Sangakkara is too good of a player. He plays to perfection, rarely does one find him making any mistakes!!! Sangakkara's Tip for the Day: The Key to Consistency is maintaining good Consistency. 6. Shane What'sOn: The only player in Australia to not only bat and bowl scary, but to also look scary. Could work to the team's advantage... 7. Justin Biever: Can't really bat, bowl or field and his batting is just about as good as Virender SeyWhats..you know...nothing special! But he is good for cricket supporters to laugh at, and to also raise the game's popularity amongst females. Apart from being the highest viewed Youtube star, he still can spring some more unexplainable surprises. 8. Daily Stains: Dale's bowling sure can leave stains on the batsmen's bat (doesn't make sense, i knowz). I fink him and Malinga could rip apart the strong batting stronghold of India, Aus, SaF and Bangladesh!? At times his batting is good but it's really all messed up and disorganised, a bit like this website, i neva said taht!?!! 8. Usher: Sanga and Mahela use the right-hand, left-hand batting combination as a technique to put bowlers out of their rhythm. So, I decided, using my wit and philosophy to get a white-black player ratio combination thingo going and hence Usher, da guy dat introduced da Beiver. He too can't bat, bowl, nor field and he too is good for us cricket fans to laugh at and he too is good to raise the games popularity, this time amongst males?!? 9. Rahul Dravid: By complaints amongst Indian fans and BCCI, I am required to put at least 1 Indian cricketer to save their face. I could have put Sachin Tendulkar but he's not fast enough in ODI's and T20 so yea. 10. Masakadza: This bowler from Zimbabwe is too good, he actually got me out?! o...k? 11. Angelo Matthews: The boys a stunner. Good find for SL!!! Really attractive to watch!!! ...i meant his batting, don't know wat ur thinking... And that is my lineup for the WC!!! As you can see it is extremely strong and feared!!! The strong bowling attack comprising Lasith Malinga, Daily Stains, Angelo Matthews, Rahul Dravid and Masakadza will cause fear amongst any side in the world. The same has to be said about the strong batting attack comprising Upul Tharanga, Murali, Sanga, Trott, Biever, Usher?! I had to leave Mahela out because he has a problem where he tends to edge the ball too much, so I picked the players who are least likely to edge deliveries... um....ok?
