And again keep on repeating the same BS about 7/8 series blah blah blah, as I said before numbers don't make any sense without context.
The context is simple- Tendy cannot score runs anymore against decent opposition, even when they are fielding their 2nd string attack. I dont care if its due to injury or as Shahezaada so lamely put it ' was not needed'. And as i said, mindless worship without the ability to bite the bullet about your God doesnt make any sense, otherwise you'd show me a few batsmen who've been retained in their team after going almost 8 straight series with below 40 average. Not even Steve Waugh, Border, Viv were that lucky to be retained in the team without any performance ala Tendulkar. Bottomline that tendy worshippers cannot deal with right now is that Tendy is finished in tests. its better to drop him in tests and make way for Yuvraj/Tiwary.

Nope, the context is even simpler. You have no idea about cricket. And don't know why I'm still wasting time. Anyways, let us know what's the latest change in cricketing world after the mysterious no benefit of doubt for batsmen for not offering shot cra.p. :giggle:

who will buy the "AK better than SRT going by Avg " line of thinking
AK has performed better than Tendy with the bat last series, not that AK is a better bat than Tendy. Its just that simple.
At this point I would like to know the list of players who have scored More Runs than SRT in the last few series
I've already provided Tendy's run-scoring standing relative to rest of indians in the team over that 8 series span and as it shows, he's done rather mediocre in that respect. Never once topped the run-scoring chart, came second only once and most of the time languishing at #4 or #5 or even worse.
Nope, the context is even simpler. You have no idea about cricket.
Says the man who doesnt know that when you are hit on the pads while offering no shot, the batsman is afforded far LESS benifit of the doubt. Anyways, i see that i've reduced you to petty and childish arguments ala bheemie with some facts. Again, deal with the facts- Tendy failed to average 40 even against a 2nd string English bowling attack, lacking a SINGLE great bowler. Tendy failed to average 40 in 7 of the 8 series he's played recently against decent opposition. No other batsman in modern times has been retained after having such an elongated stretch of failure, unless he was also holding the captaincy. These are the facts you REFUSE to deal with. As i said, Tendy is past his shelf life in Tests, he is a mediocre test batsman currently at best, who is simply pottering along ala Kapil Dev in the last stages of his career, simply for the sake of meaningless records. The best you tendy worshippers can do is try to play the far more obscure 'you dont get the context' game in trying to justify the continued presence of a faded great and a God who is now dead. If not, show me a batsman other than hero-worshipped Tendulkar who's been retained in the team unconditionally after going 7 of last 8 series (or more) without averaging 40 with the bat.

LMFAO, now that's an improvement than no benefit of doubt. Thanks for the improvements, but that's still WRONG, as many of your wild ideas. :haha:

when you are hit on the pads while offering no shot, the batsman is afforded far LESS benifit of the doubt.

but that still WRONG, as many of your wild ideas
No it isnt, which is why when the ball hits the batsman on the pads when the batsman is not offering a shot and is in line with the stumps, it is automatically out and umpires give it with far less hesitation. Had you more experience watching test cricket, you'd know that. But lets get back to topic- you Tendy worshippers have provided no reason whatsoever for his presence in the team currently, except for records he's piled when he was good over 3-4 years ago. Which is precisely my point- your God is dead but you refuse to acknowledge it.

No, you're DEAD wrong, and I'm sure you won't learn no matter how much cricket you watch since you have such an "open" mind. As far as SRT is concerned, this test series just showed why his presence is still necessary. But again since you're too blinded by mere numbers without context you won't see it and you'll keep repeating the same BS.

Oh didn't see the gem that Kumble batted better than SRT in this series. Thanks for proving so many experts wrong, as you did the makers of speed guns, all of who don't seem to have any idea about anything. What would the world do without such knowledge and understanding.

Saying that adhominem doesnt prove anything but your fanatic worship of Tendy. What am i wrong about ? That Tendulkar has been MEDEOCRE AT BEST in the last 8 series ? well the proof is in the pudding- not only does he fail to average 40 against any decent opposition in the 7 of the 8 series, he's never topped the run scoring charts even ONCE and came second only ONCE. Rest of the time, he is languishing in 4th/5th spot for most runs scored or worse. Which alone proves my point that Tendy is a MEDIOCRE test batsman as of now.
As far as SRT is concerned, this test series just showed why his presence is still necessary.
I beg to differ. Tendu was nothing flash in the most recent test series, he had a couple of decent scores, that too with generous help being put down ( and yes, he got sawn off near the end, but it is only balancing out the lives and reprives he got earlier) against a 2nd string bowling attack. Whopee ! seems like Tendy worshippers are willing to delude themselves with any spiel to think that Tendy is still worth his place in the test team. Fact is, he is not. Fact is, if Tendy were Australian, he'd be an ex-Test cricketer as of now, not pottering along for the sake of records. Fact is, I cannot think of another batsman in the last 10 years (who wasnt a captain at the same time) retained in the team despite failing to average 40 or topping the run-scoring chart even ONCE against decent opposition in 7 of 8 most recent series. Not even Steve Waugh or Jacques Kallis or Inzamam has had rope that long extended to them.

Dude I've surrendered like BB too after getting the enlightenment that AK batted better than SRT. Now please keep on repeating the same stuff, no matter how wrong or stupid they are. After all since you are saying, these must be true.

Which experts said that Tendy batted great against England in the most recently concluded series ? We won in England because of two reasons : Zaheer Khan and England not having 3 of their top bowlers available. Not because of Tendu, who stunk up the place as usual.

Funny thing is, YOU are guilty of this charge, not me. I've provided reason for saying Tendu should be dropped from Tests. YOU on the other hand keep going on ad hominem, dismissing performance indicators and simply saying 'you do not understand cricket' and not bringing a SINGLE argument on WHY Tendulkar should be retained in the test team CURRENTLY, save for what he did 3-4 years ago and his 19 year career record. As i said, find me another batsman who was retained in the team while failing to average 40+ in the last 9 of 10 series against anyone but Bangladesh. Go on- FIND ME a batsman who was retained after even such pathetic performance relative to his own team.
