Spiderguy252 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Just saying. I wonder if they'll also have a decline in a few years though? JaKa won't be around for more than a year you would think, and Smith will be leaving shortly afterward as well... Backup seamers are also low on quality (Tsotsobe, Kleinweldt). And the less said about their spin stocks, the better.
Eternal Atma Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 They are not all that. If Australia had fielded their bowlers from the Adelaide game I don't think the result would have been so easy.
Tridibans_16 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 SA have always played good cricket atleat in test matches. Last time also they had beaten Aus in Aus, so nothing new. But, what is important is that these days, the standard of cricket has deteriorated to an unimaginable low  Aus: Poor batting line-up with punter gone and very soon Hussey. only Clarke and Watson stand out. Will be tested in the sub-continent soon. Sl: Just lost to NZ at home. Yet to impress after the retirement of Murali. Pak: Getting better at test cricket since the Amir/Asis saga but still too much team issues, politics etc. Mediocre team at best. Ind: Lesser said the better. (Only test team to have 3-4 walking wickets each innings). Eng: Have lost steam after the no.1 rank. Done well to beat India in India but still don;'t forget, this Indian team is a shadow of the 2000's.
indiaregulator Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 England's problem isn't losing steam. It's that mentally some players are very weak.
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 India needs to remember that good players only get uncovered when given the chance at a young age not waiting till they perform in ipl and are aged 25+, years/a decade of having a stable team and not needing to make any changes has had this effect. England just dont have the quality or pedigree, too defensive and text book, can never compete long term with the likes of India, Pakistan or SA, especially outside their back garden

EDIT - Actually, I take back what i said. It's not worth sinking to your level.
