seedhi Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Of course. Togadia's speech is mentioning how fellow Indians were killed in massive numbers and none of them were Hindus. Should make you proud I suppose. By the way you should have received all the information you ever wanted to know about Bhagalpur riots, who was behind it and all that jazz. Hope to NOT see you spew it again. That is in response to the absurd threat by Owaisi that in the absence of the police the Muslims of India will wipe out the Hindus. What Togadia has stated is a historical fact and also logically correct, that Muslims have suffered more in religious riots in most parts of India. This has been pointed out by many analyses and criticisms of Owaisi's speech as well.

He might have evaded legal troubles by careful selection of words, as you suggest, but to me he is no less guilty than Owaisi.
Crookbond Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Yes it does. Unlike Owaisi' date=' what he said does not attract section 295A of IPC which deals with insulting religious beliefs. Secondly, what Togadia has said about removal of police force are essentially facts that in any clash of Hindus and Muslims in most parts of India in the absence of the police, the Hindus will prevail because they are the majority, as has been witnessed in various riots.[/quote'] You sound exactly like a person across the border who has used the very same words - essentially facts, red herrings on IPC etc. - to defend a certain ideology. Do you even understand what "hate speech" is? Here read it EVEN IF Togadia mentions the facts it does not make him less qualified for a "hate speech" candidate. Lets play a game - tell me your religious affinity (not that I don't know of) and I will mention the FACTS and you will cringe. I have mentioned this in most sophisticated manner time & again on this forum specifically directed to you. Stop spreading xenophobia and defending. It is OK to have members/deities of your religion being called as hate mongers. You are above a human before any religious affiliation and it is your duty (especially coming from one of the best institutions in the country) to call a spade a spade, and a jack-aaaaasss a jack-aaaaaass.

Jump the signal in presence of a traffic policeman - GUILTY Jump the signal in absence of one - NOT GUILTY Hate speech is harmful and dangerous EVEN IF facts are mentioned. The speech is given to brain wash and incite certain sections of the audience while targeting others. Just because one uses sophisticated language doesn't mean he's not a hate monger. This is like saying a literary scholar can't be a hate monger because he writes in GRE English. Pathetic attitude!

Keep drinking the cool-air bro. :hatsoff: Togadia is not stating anything, he is basically thumping his chest for slaughtering Muslims in their own homeland. And while Tavleen Singh was hoarsing shouts about how the crowds were going crazy at Owaisi, I fully expect her and other bhagwa loonies to come out swinging at Hindu crowds celebrating Muslim deaths.
Crookbond Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 What does this mean? Frankly I couldnt make much sense of what you wrote. I am stating a legal viewpoint. My institution has got nothing to do with this. To make you drive this point, please name one Hindu person whom you consider to be a hate monger. Lets see if you can do that. Your legal view point is essentially a red herring in this case. I wonder how your legal view points ALWAYS side with your religious affinity. There can be two reasons - either your religious affinity is so great that people who follow them are saints OR you don't want to see the dark side of your religious affiliation. Which one is it?

Crookbond Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Togadia is just stating the facts and Zaid Hamid is just stating the holy scriptures! Waah re waah duniya!
Lurker Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I dont drink cool-air. :giggle: okay maybe you can start drinking cool-aid instead. He is just saying what every critic of Owaisi's speech said, that Muslims have suffered much more in the riots in most parts of the country. If that makes you happy. The way I see it is speeches like Togadias are what makes somebody hate another religion to the extreme. If a Bhagalpur riot survivor watches Togadia thumping his chest for hundreds of Muslims thrown in Ganges, he may just be driven to avenge the "damage". Come to think about it, it is rather surprising that in a country of Owaisi and Togadia we dont have riots every day. And Thank God for that, pun intentional.

These are my personal opinions. Of course, Bal Thakeray was convicted for a provocative speech. No need to get personal here.

I'm just asking you that do you find Hindu politicians/individuals making hate speech against Muslims? I think both of the co-exist. I would never say that Owaisi is not a hate monger but I wouldn't try to say the same about Togadia. Anyways, personal opinion - over & out.

As long as appeasment/vote bank politics continue, 'Hindu Extremism' (as you seculars like to call it) will not only continue but increase. I'm a Chanakya bhakt and it saddens me to see the state of affairs among the nationalist groups but it is what it is. And it is not the 'right wingers' who are responsible for it.

Crookbond Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/togadia-responds-to-owaisi-with-a-titfortat-hate-speech/article4383110.ece?homepage=true Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadia tried to outdo Akbaruddin Owaisi within a fortnight of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA being sent to jail on charges of delivering a hate speech at Nirmal town in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh. At a public meeting at Bhokar town in Nanded district of Maharashtra, just 80 km from Nirmal, on January 22, Mr. Togadia attacked Akbaruddin Owaisi in particular and the minority community in general. The VHP leader was lustily cheered by the gathering at Bhokar as he continued with his inflammatory speech, just as Akbaruddin Owaisi’s speech was received with cheers by an enthusiastic audience at Nirmal on December 22, 2012. Complaint filed A police complaint was filed against Mr. Togadia in Hyderabad on Tuesday after clippings of his speech at Bhokar went viral on social networking sites. The clippings showed Togadia thundering about what happened in Nelli (Assam), Bhagalpur (Bihar) and in Gujarat, where the police stood aside. This was evidently a response to Akbaruddin Owaisi’s challenge at Nirmal to withdraw police forces for 15 minutes. Besides the nature of the speeches by Akbaruddin and Togadia, there are other similarities too. Complainants in both the cases approached the police and the courts on the basis of video clippings on the Youtube. Also, the police at both Nirmal and Bhokar towns remained unaware about the explosive content of the speeches despite monitoring the events. In Mr. Owaisi’s case, a suo motu case was booked by Nirmal police on January 2 — 11 days after his speech. Nanded district police said they did not find anything amiss with the Bhokar public meeting. When contacted on phone by The Hindu, Bhokar Inspector of Police Sandeep Triyambak Munde said police had issued permission for the meeting held at the Zilla Parishad ground. Hindu Hitchintak Sammelan, as the meeting was called, was organised by the VHP’s Kinwat District branch. Mr. Togadia arrived the previous evening in Nanded and reportedly addressed meetings there before going over to Bhokar, about 50 kms away. “There was no disturbance of peace in Bhokar. No one from any community has filed any complaint after Togadia’s public meeting”, the Inspector clarified. Nanded Superintendent of Police Vithal Jadhav and Inspector General of Police Sandeep Bishnoi were not available for a response.
