jairamesh Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Women will be punished like Sita if they cross their limits: BJP's Kailash Vijayvargiya http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Women-will-be-punished-like-Sita-if-they-cross-their-limits-BJPs-Kailash-Vijayvargiya/articleshow/17883684.cms INDOR: Madhya Pradesh industry minister Kailash Vijayvargiya kicked up yet another controversy in the backdrop of recent crimes against women by asking them to stay within moral limits. Talking to mediapersons here on Thursday night, the minister drove home his point with an example from mythology. "Ek hi shabd hai- Maryada. Maryada ka Ulanghan hota hai, toh Sita-haran ho jata hai. Laxman-rekha har vyakti ki khichi gayi hain. Us Laxman-rekha ko koi bhi par karega, toh Rawan samne baitha hai, who Sita-haran karke le jayega. (There is a moral limit, which should not be breached, and if it is breached, one must understand that Ravana is watching and then Sita is bound to be abducted), the minister said quoting the Ramayana. This is not the first time that the Madhya Pradesh industry minister has stirred a row. Last July, Vijayvargiya had said that the women should dress in sync with 'Indian culture' in order to avoid molestation. Then too the minister was in the midst of controversy. So I guess guys can do all:dance: with no Miss Ravana on the prowl.
EnterTheVoid Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Watch this mother****er weasel out on a technicality. I was mis quoted, my words were taken out of context, it is all a smear campaign and blah, blah ****ing blah.
ganeshran Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Please stick to the topic and avoid religious generalizations.

Lurker Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Women will be punished like Sita if they cross their limits: BJP's Kailash Vijayvargiya So I guess guys can do all:dance: with no Miss Ravana on the prowl. The only thing worse that the gentleman's statement is his knowledge of Ramayana that he is quoting. Surely Sita's crossing of Laxman-Rekha had nothing to do with what she wore, or Ravan lusting after her (or lack there of). It was to do with Ram-Surpanekha episode.
bihutoli Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Our political class is filled with termites like these across the board. The day clowns like him will be laughed at and told to shut up instead of being elected to ministerial positions will be when we can actually see some changes in the way the country is run.
Sarkar Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 This guy need to realise that we are not living in thretha yug. But people still worship Shri Ram and Sita Mata in Kaliyug.
AGHORI Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 But people still worship Shri Ram and Sita Mata in Kaliyug. In kaliyug we have enough technology to test sita's purity.
DomainK Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Sala koi ek bhi mard Ram ya Lakshman nahi ban sakta, lekin inko har aurat mein Sita chahiye. :wall:
