That eminent stalwart of independence movement was Ram-Prasad Bismill who got hanged in Kakori episode. He kept on ruing till last breathe how other bigwigs who were outside didn't lend helping hands to him, in his words all he needed was a pistol and he could have chartered his escape from prison. Eye-witness of the court proceedigns in that Kakori episode exclaimed; despite having no formal education in law Bismill kept pleading his own case like a pro-advocate.
