DesiChap
Bangalore: After savouring the big welcome home in Mumbai, the India cricket team is padding up for the next big challenge—the seven-match One-Day series against Australia that will begin on Saturday in Bangalore. But the action has already begun. The war of words has already begun—the four-time World Cup winners versus the newly crowned Twenty20 champions. And even as the euphoria around the Men in Blue settles down, everyone will be waiting to see if the Twenty20 champions will be able to translate their success on to the 50-over format. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's real test begins now. Australian captain Ricky Ponting believes that his team are the "real champions." "India are the world Twenty20 champions. We are the world Test champions and the world 50-over champions, and we have got some 50-over cricket coming up. So, we'll see how we go. I wouldn't be getting too carried away with the T20 version," Ponting says. Revenge would be on the top of the minds of the Aussies after India ousted them in a thrilling semi-final clash in Durban at the ICC World Twenty20. The Australians will come out hard against the home team with their sights firmly trained on clinching the series in the sub-continent. But buoyed by their recent success, a fearless Team India is ready for the challenge. "We are a bunch of 15 guys, and all 15 of us are match-winners. They are going to have a tough time," says India paceman S Sreesanth. "What we have done is now history, and what the Aussies have done in the past is history as well. So it's going to be another tournament, I am looking forward to it and everyone is really raring to go, because we have formed a new strategy to take on the Australians. We are going to fight fire with fire," says batsman Robin Uthappa. Forget cricket, this seems like two heavyweight boxers going at each other at a pre-bout weigh-in. Call it mind games or gamesmanship, the gloves are off, and without a ball being bowled, this series has already the makings of a classic. http://www.cricketnext.com/news/india-vow-to-fight-fire-with-fire-against-aussies/27187-13.html Link to comment

Mandrake
India's new weapon Jogi is going to rout the Aussies..watch it:D Link to comment
Ram
I advise Joginder to retire from cricket NOW, to preserve his dignity. If he were to step on a cricket field again , his lack of talent would be exposed so badly that the BCCI/state govt might ask him to return back the awards. Link to comment
yoda
He is a contracted player now. Can't touch him. :D Link to comment
