Miandad lashes out at Yousuf and Board PTI KARACHI, September 29: Former Pakistani great Javed Miandad on Saturday hit out at Mohammad Yousuf and Pakistan Cricket Board for making a mockery of the ICL commitment and sending a wrong message to the cricketing world. "How can they (Board) allow Yousuf to sign a contract in vague knowing he is already signed on by the ICL. Where is the fair play and veracity. What message are we giving out to the world about our players," Miandad said. Miandad said he did not believe that ICL would object if any Pakistani player was required for national duty unless the commitments did not clash with their league matches. "Once a Muslim gives his word leave alone sign a document he has to fulfil it regardless of the consequences. And even if Yousuf was keen on playing for Pakistan, while being contracted to the ICL, he should have informed the PCB." Under the ICL contract, players are required to make themselves available for 45 days in a season for cricket and other commercial activities pertaining to the league. He also said Yousuf by agreeing to drop his ICL contract had made the situation difficult for other Pakistani players contracted with the league. "Why should the PCB now bother about them."

"Once a Muslim gives his word leave alone sign a document he has to fulfil it regardless of the consequences. And even if Yousuf was keen on playing for Pakistan' date=' while being contracted to the ICL, he should have informed the PCB."
what exactly is he trying to say here ? is he conveying a message "only muslim players are loyal to the cricketing world and to their respective teams/country" ?? what the fark is wrong with these asswipes... why do they wanna make their religion self-centered in cricketing world :argh:

Who is Miandad to preach anything about integrity? Pak and India have the same problem - old players will say anything to be in the spotlight. Both countries should make the players sign a contract that stops them from talking to the media to qualify for any pension or cricket related positions.
