Rob9 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Something I been pondering over few years..Team India has to channel it's strength's in the right directions. Seeing similar names playing all 3 formats is heartbreaking. This leads to the chances of injuries more than ever. According to me, Yes there will be 4-5 players being switched between test cricket and ODI's. But for T-20 we frankly don't require any of these players to give their time. For eg, my t-20 team will be a young side led by Rahane with the following players - 1.Rahane(captain) 2.Murli Vijay 3.Sanju Samson 4.Manvinder Bisla/Saha(Keeper) 5.Manan Vohra 6.Manoj Tiwary/Robin Uthappa 7.Stuart Binny 8.Rajat Bhatia 9.Murli Karthik 10.Sandeep Sharma/Ishant/Unadkat/Sreenath 11.Mohit Sharma/Balaji I mean the above names could vary but the point is...It's high time we set up a system wherein t20 is seen as a chance to groom talents and a resting period for players in other 2 formats. This will also be a good platform for the t-20 squad to prove their worth and push for their chances to the more important formats. By then, they will be exposed to the pressure involved in playing for India. Kindly let me know your views. Have a good day !
