GrandMasterSaxy Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 With SA winning the first T20, Pakistan has dropped one position to 3rd (with 122 points) and India gaining one position to number 2 (with 123 points). With one more T20 left in the series (SA Vs Pak), how will the result affect overall standing ? Any comments ?
GrandMasterSaxy Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 In complete fixture, CI shows only 2 T20s:idunno:
GrandMasterSaxy Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Sorry my mistake....Pakistani team would be travelling to SA and probably will start with T20s. I don't understand why PCB is so obssessed with T20s, look at the number of T20s they have played - 34, India don't give a shyt to T20 matches, have played on 19 this year.

My guess is that Pakistan is a gun T20 team and the players are more suited to that format than ODI's and Tests. Also prior to Pakistan overtaking India in the Test Rankings back then (2012), most Pak fans valued T20 more than anything.
GrandMasterSaxy Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Pakistan used to be GUN at one of time (infact in all the formats) but the spark is gone, they can't win International matches with club level cricketers (batsmen to be specific) My guess is that Pakistan is a gun T20 team and the players are more suited to that format than ODI's and Tests. From 2006-11, didnt they go through a period where they didnt win a test series at all? 1990s was when Pak was at its peak. Those teams were loaded and couldhave won atleast 2-3 world cups.
