fineleg Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 There have almost always been injuries or niggles which have made us fans go  before or during international tours BCCI is making a mistake, in my opinion, by not resting key people like Shami, Dhawan, Kohli et.al. for the useless one-off bilateral odi series. We should be keeping players fresh and anyway these guys have odis in SA before Tests. This is a chance to play india-a team vs west indies. We could have given chances to many good players who don't usually get into the "main squad" - plenty of such good players in domestics could have been given a chance. Oh well. But obviously we are playing full strength odi squad vs west indies. By the time SA tests start, do you forsee niggles hampering our key Test players? Who are the most susceptible or vulnerable for that? Does BCCI have a plan-b if injuries happen?
saneindian Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Are you hoping / praying for these injuries? This is a young side, why would they need rest? Only ones who need to be managed are pacers and none of them have been overworked recently. Dhoni has had these problems but has always played with those finger/back injuries.
Pagalpanti Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Lets not forget that our full strength squad isn't actually all that full strength on paper. Its a youngish ODI team, the more they play the better they well become as a unit before World cup.
