Warne was on a different level altogether. nope, Holding and Garner were arguably just as good as Mcgrath. Just because they played less matches doesn't mean Mcgrath was in another league. At their best, there isn't that much to seperate them. Garner was highly accurate like Mcgrath but also had an excellent yorker (which Mcgrath didn't). Holding was incredibly destructive due to his pace, infact i would rate Holding ahead of Mcgrath.

If one has to go by that, he has been not been more destructive than Akhtar, Steyn and Donald and their Strike rates says so. Sachin faced Wasim, Waqar, Akhtar, Saqlain, Afridi..all in their prime and still shone on the dangerous 5th day Chennai track.

Tendulkar did well against what was in front of him, it shouldn't be a knock on anyone at all.

Sachin performed significantly better than Dravid vs SA and in SA which is generally a very bowling friendly country. Tendulkar also outperformed Dravid when facing a full strength Australian bowling line up (Mcgrath + Warne) whereas Dravid did not perform as well vs a fulll strength Australian bowling attack I am a Pak fan but i'll be the first to admit: Tendulkar is the best sub continent batsman of the past 30 years. Dravid, while very good, doesn't come close. He is not even best from Bombay.
