TheWall Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Imran lucky that US hasn't landed a drone on to his lap...
akshayxyz Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Imran's comments about Inzamam being comparable to Sachin were absurd. No one is denying that. Your whole "mediocre" for a nearly a decade point was absurd as well considering he only played 20 something tests during this time. As far as this comment about Sachin being "lucky" having not faced the WI pace attack of the 80's, i think it was a light hearted comment that is being blown out of proportion. He was praising Gavaskar for having played those guys in their primes. I dont think he meant to take a shot at Sachin, people are making way to big a deal out of it. Sachin has already proved that he would do better than most batsmen vs such an attack. Geez, relax. Finally, someone seems to have gotten it right!!! P.S. btw, sometimes with j/k (or sarcastic) comments, people try to convey they might actually believe in.
akshayxyz Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Viv was probably luckiest player then. Played in 80s and yet didnt face them. This!!! And same with Ponting for most of his era ( not just bowlers, but team as a whole)
TheWall Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 The clip showing Tendulkar "cleaning the seam" shows nails digging into the ball. Referee and Umpire didn't make Tendulkar do that' date=' he did it himself, so many people around the world know he's not a saint. He was not tampering. And everybody knows. No. He is God.
TheWall Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Whether or not Sachin did that' date=' does not take away from the fact that he's the greatest bat ever bar Bradman. Likewise, don't put down the legacy of other great players for indulging in activities that players from all countries engaged in...[/quote'] Never pulled down any great player from any country. But as for Imran - his cork theory comes to picture...
bones Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 He was not tampering. And everybody knows. No. He is God. You know when people use the word God to describe a mere mortal, a mortal who in fact failed many a time in big occassions as well, you got to stop taking them seriously. I've seen the clip numerous times now, each time I see it, the more and more convinced I am that he he knew full well what he was doing and both he and his fans are in denial. I say it again, if a less popular or non-Indian did the same you'd never let this kind of activity go lightly.

bones Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Still hurts right?? :hysterical::hysterical: You haven't addressed the point. Imagine Ajmal, Sanga or Warner etc were caught with the samera on them doing the same thing, do you think they'd get away with it? Would your opinion be so sympathetic towards them?
CG Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Tendulkar fault was he did not tell the umpires before cleaning the seam,Its was not as big a offence as using bottle openers and as england and southafricans did use foriegn substance.

He said, that's just cleaning the seam. He should have informed the umpires.
