Sri Lanka - where are they headed?

We have been a decent touring test side in the past 2-3 years , not great as AUS, SA or ENG at some times, but certainly were better than poor touring test sides such as ZIM, BAN or IND. When Mahela and Sanga retire , new faces will come. We survived when Arjuna and Aravinda retired so same will happen when Sanga and Mahela calls it a day.. youngsters will put their hand up and will fill the shoes. We have already proven ourselves in ODI /T20 arena in all kinds of conditions. I don't think any sane person will question that .
You haven't won an away series against a non minnow since 2000. You are good at bashing Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Now that is quite decent. India has lost several major players and there was a blip for a couple of years, even the great Aussie side became an ordinary side for three years since several of their legends retired. But Sri Lanka struggled to win a single series even with some of their best players in the side, when they retire you will be ultra ordinary.

That what haters said in early 2000s when Aravinda and Arjuna retired. In Mid to late 2000s when Vaas and Murali retired. Still we are not getting pummeled anywhere

I said decent, not world beaters.I didn't even count Bangla thrashing For example we did much better in England in 2011 than India who got the better conditions in summer but still got white washed. We won a test in SA last time we toured but India won jack **** in SA last time around. Won one match against Pakistan and loss one. So for us it's like you win some loose some , but for poor test teams like India and Bangladesh it's like you loose some and them loose some more. It's not my concern that India lost some players in the recent past , in fact they had most of them when they got thrashed by England and Australia for 8-0.

poor test teams are those that never even won a test in India and had to rely on the pathetic bad light excuse against pakistan.

Typical cheap insults ' date=' got no relation to the context of the conversation.[/quote'] how is it an insult to inform you that we were the number one test side with the same players you are calling poor?

what does that have to do with the fact that SL have never won a test in India, even when chuckarathan was playing?
