Chandigarh: The Haryana government has ordered a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into a Rs 8 crore contract awarded by IAS officer Ashok Khemka to a firm in Gujarat when he was the Managing Director of the State Warehouse Corporation in 2009. Ashok Khemka has earlier exposed huge land scams involving Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra. Khemka claims that he is being hounded by the Congress for exposing them. Khemka has rejected the allegations. Two months ago, he had sent a detailed letter to Haryana chief secretary dismissing the charges against him. The CBI inquiry ordered against him is likely to be a big issue in Haryana ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. .
