I remember pak leveled the series against Australia and beat England in a test match despite having 11 absolute mugs with the bat due to Aamer, Asif and Gul. Also, no substitute for pace, shami proving that again and again.

Pace is needed at the high level, there's no two ways about it. Yeah i remember that, reason why Pak have won more overseas tests in recent memory compated to us. Last time we won an england test was 2007. We have the batsmen to chase or set totals but whether those totals are achievable or defendable depend on our bowling.
