Sachin=GOD Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 So this is what ManUtd have signed this season: Defenders: Rojo, Shaw Midfielders Herrera, Blind Winger: Di Maria Striker: Falcao
Bleed-Blue Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 One year loan deal is done. It may look like a foolish signing but IMO its really good - RVP is 31 and is going for a knee surgery and a lot of players are not the same after coming back from such a surgery. Falcao Just Came Back From Knee surgery Aswell Though
Sachin=GOD Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Read this on another forum: United replace RvP before Arsenal replace him. Really does put things in to perspective.
Sachin=GOD Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Falcao Just Came Back From Knee surgery Aswell Though Yes. Thats why I think they went for a loan instead of buying him.

Then why do one year signing if it's for future ? He is not kind of guy you can bench so united are either gonna sell Rvp or play 3 strikers

He is not kind of guy you can bench so united are either gonna sell Rvp or play 3 strikers He is also coming from a surgery so I guess they don't want to make a long term commitment right now. Just a guess though...
Old guy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 He is also coming from a surgery so I guess they don't want to make a long term commitment right now. Just a guess though... But he seems to be big name so I am not sure how it is in his best interest to be on loan ? Big commitment are better for him no as he will time to get to make good come back rather then play for half season and then play next year in another team ?
Old guy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Still this is better than city or Madrid getting him ..this would have made them too strong so I guess I am not complaining but it's proven until now that united need defenders and mid fielders rather than beefing up already good forwards

He's getting a chance to move from Monaco to ManUtd - thats a big move up for him. And he's coming from an injury so he shouldn't be complaining that he only got a loan deal. Also, I am quite sure that it will be a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

But all in all a very good transfer window for ManUtd - it would have been even better if we would have landed Vidal.
Old guy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 That they still need. But all in all a very good transfer window for ManUtd - it would have been even better if we would have landed Vidal. They spent big and over paid in many cases like rojo and di Maria ....they got good payers but over paid

But Madrid and City are interested who are just as big ...I think it's final and I am happy city did not get him it would have been unfair :cantstop:
Sachin=GOD Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 They spent big and over paid in many cases like rojo and di Maria ....they got good payers but over paid The transfer market now is such that a top club has to overpay for a world class player like Di Maria.
Old guy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 The transfer market now is such that a top club has to overpay for a world class player like Di Maria. Bayern got players for so cheap and chelsea too did much better ....well obviously if you won't plan and buy players in last week in bidding wars then you will pay the price quite literally :giggle:

So the squad had a lot of deficiencies and every football club in the world knew this so obviously they were going to ask for top price for their players. And on top of that, Van Gaal was busy with the Netherlands in the WC so obviously he needed some time to actually see the ManUtd squad in action before judging which players needed to stay, which needed to go and which ones should be bought. But ManUtd have the money to spend and they had not been spending much in the transfer window in the last few years so its really great to see them go after (and get) the likes of Di Maria and Falcao etc.

Sachin=GOD Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 But they did buy players for lot of money ...it is just not true that they did not buy they just bought *****y players for lot of price In recent years (excluding the last transfer window) the biggest signings were Berbatov for 30 mil and RVP for 22 mil. Not exactly BIG money... But yeah, they did pay around 15 mil for a lot of players who didn't exactly work out well at ManUtd.
zakk Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Do they need striker after Rooney and Rvp? Cannot be true why not? they can play with 3 forwards if their midfielders are not doing that well or to be more aggressive if needed sometims at later stage of the tournaments if they are anywhere near to Top 4
zakk Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 But they did buy players for lot of money ...it is just not true that they did not buy they just bought *****y players for lot of price their requirement is to have big players and those are not available that cheap :winky:
