as I said I was just trying to indulge you ... in the spirit of exchanging ideas and a good debate ... but never be under the impression that its a given if a > b AND b > c then a > c ... simply doesnt work that way in sport. Shall we move on to the next point of mean bowlers ?
After u have proved your point Bradman would have failed in India

my answer : No he wont .... simply because he was venturing into unknown territory i.e subcontinent.
Here is your reason in that thread as to why Bradman wouldn't have scored big in India....I had conclusively proved you wrong....as evidenced by others who venturing into the subcontinent and scoring BIG. What do you say ?

If you genuinely believe that, why do you quote the statistics of OTHER players to show that Bradman wouldn't have scored big in Subcontinent.... LOL

its called digression, indulging , exchanging ideas speculation etc etc .... As it stands there is NO CONCLUSIVE PROOF provided by you that DGB would do good IN INDIA. End of story.
I will provide the proof in cricketing terms but you are not willing to define standards of proof Here is further proof that your objections were statistically wrong Quote by Bheembhai viewpost.gif qs.gif not One single Test match IN India ranks in the High scoring games EVER never mind the 30's or 40s ..... qe.gif
England got 400+ in both the first 2 tests in the 1st innings, Windies got 600 + in the first innings of the first2-3 tests they played here, Weekes Got 3 big hundreds in the first 3 tests he played in India etc etc... enough to conclusively prove you wrong that the Indian conditions are by themselves a factor to hamper teams/players from scoring big when they play new in Indian conditions

So Tendulkar cannot be called great because he has never got a hundred in Zinbabwe and in fact averages only 40 in that country ?? LOL

And also since Tendulkar's average is just 26 in SA and just 28 in Australia, he can hardly be called even a reasonable ODI player , right ? Because he is a complete failure in these 2 countries in ODIs and these are the 2 places with quickest wickets in the world

Tendulkar's record in ODIs against the following countries, when playing in those countries ODI avg in Aus = 28 ODI avg in SA = 26 ODI avg in Kenya = 25 ODI avg in NZ = 27 ODI avg in bangladesh = 39 ODI average in England = 39 Overall ODI average outside India = 35 Conclusion ? Sachin Tendulkar is NOWHERE near being called even an average player in ODIs... LOL He has failed all over the world as can be seen by his record in ODIs everuywhere

Anyone who argues that Bradman is comparable to Tendulkar, really has an agenda that is not cricket. Its just that simple- Tendulkar HIMSELF has said that he is nowhere comparable to Bradman. As such, Tendulkar himself has conceded the case, yet his worshippers/nationalistic-chest-thumpers refuse to accept it. And the way i see it, if Tendulkar categorically says that he is not good enough compared to Bradman or XYZ, i'd take Tendulkar's judgement on where he ranks over that of a one-eyed fan. When it comes to batting, there is the Don, then there is daylight and then the rest. Its just that bloody simple!

dont even go there ... that was part of the indulgence and digression ... right now there is NO proof that DGB would have done good in India.
What about the concrete proof I have provided that Tendulkar has failed in almost all countries in the world in ODIs, see the earlier posts . You accept that Sachin cannot be called even a ordinary ODI player, then ?

How can any player who averages between 25 and 39 in 6 countries, among which are all important countries, in ODIs EVER be called anything but very ordinary ?

You are trying to argue with a chap who doesn't accept precise verbatim quote from a mathematics textbook(when page #, author, name of the book and ISBN# is provided) as proof in a mathematical debate. What chance do you have really, when a math professor writing a math textbook is not acceptable to this chap ?!? I hope you realize what you are getting into and who you are arguing with here.... Besides, as i said, you don't have to defend Bradman- the world knows Bradman was the best batsman ever, most Indian fans who know cricket know it and Sachin HIMSELF knows it..... Why argue with a fool who argues against what Sachin HIMSELF said about this comparison !??

I know Bongo, the whole world including BB knows Bradman was the greatest. Just that I love pushing him into a corner with his own words and prove what an exercise in futility he is in. See the Sachin ODI stats....so BB has no ther choice except to concede Sachin is by and large an ODI failure in most parts of the world:D

what has Sachins performance got to do with the discussion on DGB that too using ODI stats ?
Just the logic. If Bradman cannot be called the greatest merely because he never played in a certain country, India, ( that too without even knowing what he might have done) then applying the same logic, sachin is a complete failure as a ODI player having failed in 6 countries in a concrete manner with no room for speculative digression

Hari , What do you know about that mathematic text book and the topic Bongo is refering to ?
The "I know " was with refernce to the fact Bongo seemed to think I am unaware of the fact you are arguing foolishly
