Malcolm Merlyn Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 when mesozoic era when south india was closer to the poles ? 70s and 80s.It all changed at the mid of 80s because India had pathetic spinners at that time and they needed wickets that turned from day one to take wickets.Before that during the spin quatret days Madras and Bombay had pace friendly bouncy wickets,esp Madras was very quick.
