India hint at five-bowler strategy

Recommended Posts

I would stick with rohit for 2 tests. If not then replace him with genuine batsman, maybe gambhir
But you need 5 bowlers one way or the other. 4 bowlers can't pick 20 wickets. If binny chips in with 2-3 wickets and 30- 40 runs, it will be a big bonus. Its not like Nohit is gonna score more than 30 , 40 runs. Don't you think?

World number 1 in tests with 6 batsman and 4 bowlers! Away series wins in eng' date=' drawn in aus, wins in widies, wins in pak, drawn series in SA, win series in NZ[/quote'] Just one win away from home with GOAt batting line up....it proves that this balance is wrong Every team in world currently plays 5 bowlers even if they have to field crap all rounders like mclaren

He is still Pokemon Last time Pokemon played in England after injury he was scared while batting
This is England - here pokemon would still be better than Vijay. Also, we need some experience in the batting order bcoz all we have in the name of experience is M$D and he isn't exactly a "batsman" in Tests outside the subcontinent.

Ausralia dominated world cricket with 6 batsman and 4 bowlers Same with windies. If 4 bowlers are not good enough, chucking in a part time bowler like binny to make 5 wont make any difference. Strategy to win, which is how we got to number 1 is bat and pile on big totals with 6 front line batters. This will create runs to play with and score board pressure for the 4 bowlers to chip away and get the wickets. Make them bat on day 4 or 5 picth with our runs on boars and hopefully spinner can do the job. You need 6 batters. You forget laxman at 6 and how many times he saves us and piled on the runs. Just imagine if in that period we had binny at 6 instead of laxman:hysterical:

This young batting Line up did so well in South Africa and these openers did much better than sehwag and gambhir who even failed at home ? What has changed since then ? Gambhir is still same with no improvement .
