King Tendulkar
This is why daddie forced him to be picked. Look at the respect he suddenly getting and how his profile has been boosted. Pulled the wool over some fans eyes. Take a mediocre FC player, force him in squad and fans want him in:hysterical: Link to comment
Captain India
If people want to replace rohit' date=' then fine do it. But replace him with a god dammn batsman, not some bits and pieces rubbish like Binny![/quote'] Who do you think should replace him? Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Who do you think should replace him? I would stick with rohit for 2 tests. If not then replace him with genuine batsman, maybe gambhir Link to comment
Old guy
I would stick with rohit for 2 tests. If not then replace him with genuine batsman, maybe gambhir I would rather play a bowler There is no decent replacement anyway only quality players will perform and all of those are already in side Link to comment

Captain India
I would stick with rohit for 2 tests. If not then replace him with genuine batsman, maybe gambhir But you need 5 bowlers one way or the other. 4 bowlers can't pick 20 wickets. If binny chips in with 2-3 wickets and 30- 40 runs, it will be a big bonus. Its not like Nohit is gonna score more than 30 , 40 runs. Don't you think? Link to comment
Old guy
suicide going in with only 5 batsman. Total suicide Just like past 4 away series ? What have we ever achieved by playing 6 batsmen ? Also I am talking about last 20 years Link to comment
Sachin=GOD
Gambhir might play I hope he does play - as an opener. Link to comment
BlueBee
I hope he does play - as an opener. Yeah! Actually no point that he shouldn't play. Performed better than Vijay in Practise matches. I would go for Gambhir rather than Vijay ! Link to comment
Old guy
I hope he does play - as an opener. Replacing who exactly ? Vijay showed more heart in South Africa than gambhir did in last 3 or 4 years combined and dhawan has scored 100 in New Zealand Link to comment

Vijay showed more heart in South Africa than gambhir did in last 3 or 4 years combined and dhawan has scored 100 in New Zealand Vijay. IMO Gambhir is better. But I am quite sure that Vijay-Dhawan will get at least the first 2 tests. Link to comment

Old guy
Vijay. IMO Gambhir is better. But I am quite sure that Vijay-Dhawan will get at least the first 2 tests. He is still Pokemon Last time Pokemon played in England after injury he was scared while batting Link to comment
Old guy
World number 1 in tests with 6 batsman and 4 bowlers! Away series wins in eng' date=' drawn in aus, wins in widies, wins in pak, drawn series in SA, win series in NZ[/quote'] Just one win away from home with GOAt batting line up....it proves that this balance is wrong Every team in world currently plays 5 bowlers even if they have to field crap all rounders like mclaren Link to comment
Sachin=GOD
He is still Pokemon Last time Pokemon played in England after injury he was scared while batting This is England - here pokemon would still be better than Vijay. Also, we need some experience in the batting order bcoz all we have in the name of experience is M$D and he isn't exactly a "batsman" in Tests outside the subcontinent. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Ausralia dominated world cricket with 6 batsman and 4 bowlers Same with windies. If 4 bowlers are not good enough, chucking in a part time bowler like binny to make 5 wont make any difference. Strategy to win, which is how we got to number 1 is bat and pile on big totals with 6 front line batters. This will create runs to play with and score board pressure for the 4 bowlers to chip away and get the wickets. Make them bat on day 4 or 5 picth with our runs on boars and hopefully spinner can do the job. You need 6 batters. You forget laxman at 6 and how many times he saves us and piled on the runs. Just imagine if in that period we had binny at 6 instead of laxman:hysterical: Link to comment
BlueBee
He is still Pokemon Last time Pokemon played in England after injury he was scared while batting This is not SA or NZ. Here Vijay won't be able to do anything special. Gambhir all the way Link to comment

This young batting Line up did so well in South Africa and these openers did much better than sehwag and gambhir who even failed at home ? What has changed since then ? Gambhir is still same with no improvement . Link to comment
