Mr. Wicket Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 (Taking a cue from Rajeev's earlier live betting thread) At present: 0 not out off 2 balls. His average knock is roughly 2 off 9 balls. I'm willing to bet he won't last that long, and will be out having faced a maximum of 8 balls for his knock. If I win (8 or less balls faced), I get $2500. If I lose (9+), I pay up $ICF 6000. Any takers? EDIT: sm322 & Dravid bit on those odds - booth's closed now.
Mr. Wicket Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 Seeing as you responded almost together, you're both on. Nobody else. Now here's hoping Steyn knocks him over soon. :D
Dravid Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 ok what if rest get bowled out and he stays not out? with around 5-6 balls faced?? u win?
Mr. Wicket Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 Nobody wins, so no transfers. Only thing we're betting on here is if he gets out within 8 balls or fewer. If so, I win - if he lasts more than 9 balls, regardless of whether he's out or not, you/sm332 win. If it's 0* off 7, we can both curse Vettori. Sound OK?
Mr. Wicket Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 A WINNER IS ME! :D Chris Martin lasted all of one ball - my prediction was rather generous. You both owe 2.5K, and the great man's average is now down to 2.0. :D Ntini to Martin, OUT, all over! Pitches on a length and moves away, and he can only edge to Kallis at second slip! CS Martin c Kallis b Ntini 0 (5m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
Dirty_South Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 One of the greatest batsman ....:giggle:
sm332 Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 note to self --- never bet Salil - transfer has been made :(
Dravid Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Yeh Toh Mcggy Ka Baap Nikala:haha: 2500 sent..
fineleg Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 I've not seen Chris Martin bat, is he worse than VRV singh or Munaf Patel? Maybe SS Paul will equal him.
