Yuvraj4Captaincy
and the fact is that Dravid and Tendulkar cant be replaced in tests until they call it quit themsleves...they r 2 of our best test bats..even though tendy is not on form but overall..... so it has to be laxman or ganguly with a sword hanging on their necks. Rohan495
All i gotta say is that Yuvraj will never produce an innings of 281 like Laxman did Link to comment
Rohan495
when Laxman got that in swinger by Asif, Asif Demolished the indian line up it wasnt just Laxman. Link to comment
Yuvraj4Captaincy
All i gotta say is that Yuvraj will never produce an innings of 281 like Laxman did Hmm time will tell that..when yuvraj start playing test cricket...maybe not in that context but even sehwag has hit more than 281. but I admit laxman was a crucial one. but then again...u dont need to hit 281 all the time to be a successful test batsmen...why is laxman not doing it again? Rohan495
maybe because he bats down the order, where theres a lot of pressure. And constantly runs out of partners, my whole point is if you want to put Laxman to the test put him up the order im sure people will see better results and maybe the Northern Side of India can see the class of this man once again. I will say it here in bold ..maybe you will get it Imo, its kinddaaa fair for Laxman to be playing ahead of Yuvraj atm in TEST but he gotta keep performing or Ganguly....otherwise one of em is a goner. I am sure yuvi will have lot more odi hundreds was he batting at # 3 and not finishing games for India...but that doesnt matter....Team and its needs comes first. Link to comment

Rohan495
well if you havent noticed thats what Laxman has been doing playing for his god damn team instead of playing for himself and for stats Link to comment
Yuvraj4Captaincy
well if you havent noticed thats what Laxman has been doing playing for his god damn team instead of playing for himself and for stats That's good.so why are you worried? So his task is plain and simple..Keep doing it and keep scoring runs thru out the series and he will be playing for as long. cuz right now there is pressure.one bad series could put ur spot in danger...but this is international cricket..u gotta thrive on pressure..skills r not just everything. bharat297
After seeing the way Laxman is playing today ... I think it is time to move VVS to no.3 ... i think the regular order should be. Despite what people say in this forum , the man is in good touch and a century is around the corner. Jaffer Karthik Laxman Tendulkar Dravid Ganguly Dhoni Kumble Zaheer RP Sreesanth Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
I second that.. this demotion might spark off old Dravid... Laxman too will do well in this form at the top of order .. I say win win Link to comment
The Outsider
I don't understand this witch hunt for Ganguly and Laxman. Laxman is playing a truly sublime and situation defying innings right now and Ganguly in his previous test innings had stroked a truly elegant 50 when Dravid was struggling to middle anything and we were 12/3. Dhoni's English
who the hell is law? Played along side Laxman towards the end of the County Championship(Lancashire) and had first hand experience, so he's not talking through his backside. Law IMO is probably the most underated batsman to not play for Australia consistently. Link to comment
