Role of Team Manager

i never got know what is the role of a Team Manager.. Like when Chandu dada was Team manager on Eng tour...and Now we have Lal chand Rajput as team manager.. what are the specific responsibilities of a Team manager at home matches and on abroad tours..?

manages teams... -- organizes tea parties, champagne sessions -- schedules dates to the cricketers -- attends calls for every player -- may not lift the kits ... the only person who doesn't get replaced even after a loss...
