Error in scoring ?

I'm sort of confused whether the scorers got it wrong or there's something I'm not aware of. Straight to third man...but it's a no-ball! A let off for Smith as he upper cut this straight to Philander who barely had to move 0.2 Morkel to Smith, 1 wide, wide outside off, Smith chases it but doesn't make contact and Steve Davis stretches out his arms 0.1 Morkel to Smith, FOUR, boundary first up, back of a length delivery which Smith goes to pull and gets a bottom edge over the stumps and wide of the keeper The 2nd ball of the over. Smith got caught off a no-ball. Got to the other end during the catch and Gayle on strike to take the free hit. But only 1 run was added to the score (for the no-ball). Shouldn't it be 2 runs (1 for no-ball and 1 for the one they ran and changed ends)? Or if the run wasn't completed or something, shouldn't Smith be on strike?

A note on the Smith no-ball 'wicket': on review for front foot no ball, runs scored off the bat do not count if it is caught and it is a no ball

Might be a cricinfo error and they will correct. It should be 2 runs of that ball. But maybe batsmen didnt complete the run even though they might have crossed

It was not a call made on the field but a check by third umpire. So the catcher nor fielders would even have attempted a run out so it makes sense to disallow runs of bat. However, if they had attempted a run out and took the bails out ( after the 'now not a catch', then the batsman would still be run out as you can be run out on a no ball ). Allowing change of ends while disallowing runs is the fair call if you take into account the above.

^^^ Of course what I wrote is applicable is only if it a catch and then a no ball review. Else, runs will be allowed. However, I don't think umpires go for third umpire no ball check unless it is an 'out'
