sachin_fan
please, if we say KDD doesnt learn, shewag is the epitome of not learning. We need the openers to shine, not lash and get out....i would take KDD over viru any day... Link to comment
fineleg
Why is it only KKD or Shewag? Its not only these two who need to be in the race. Link to comment
King
Agree with all that you have said Sriram. Batting is more about failures than successes. Even the best in the world can't chip in all the times. There are bound to be some lull. As long as there is enough effort put in the trainings and there is ability, runs are bound to come. Karthik has scored consistently overseas in the recent past and he will come up with few good knocks if persisted. Three times he has been out cheaply in test cricket and we want to give up on him already. We have persisted with the likes of Sehwag and the rest for long enough. This lad needs a bit of support and confidence when he's low not the other way around. It's a trend with the Indian cricket fans to give up on someone that is good if he cannot score in couple of games. Similarly we hype anyone that comes up with a good knock or two. We need a decent balance before letting lose on players that have the ability to play good cricket. I would persist with him for a while before we yet again try and find that good opening partnership. Link to comment
DesiChap
I would take Yuvi over KKD to open Link to comment
DesiChap
That being said. Jaffer and Gambhir on current form should be our 1st choice openers for the Australia series. Link to comment
