Donny
Why would I not be ? It's a cricket series, Mouni, not the Crusades. Link to comment
Donny
Tait makes it 7/29 and 10 for the match. Noffke out for 60. All out 137. SA needs 80 to win. Link to comment
kabira
if I am ponting and I would select Brad Hogg. Indians will be troubled by his unorthodox bowling...it doesn't make difference if you have 3 pacers or 4 pacers, what you need is variation. Link to comment
Donny
Ponting isn't a selector. Link to comment

Donny
Why don't you go back and read post #6 again, Bossby. Read it in relation to the included quote. I simply stated some stats re. Lee's recent form. What's the problem ? Why so paranoid ? Link to comment
Ram
And SRT has 13 Test ducks and 75 other times has been dismissed under 20. What's your point, mm ? I was trying to tell you that I have faith in the Indian batsman to handle Lee confidently. Link to comment
Donny
Aha !! MJ must've read my posts. He has 3/10 in SA's second innings. Link to comment
Donny
SA won by 6 wickets. Nathan Adcock 49 n.o. Johnson 3/33. Link to comment
Donny
I was trying to tell you that I have faith in the Indian batsman to handle Lee confidently. So why not write that, mm ? Instead you quoted a bowling return from a Test of nearly 4 years ago where only 25 wickets fell and 1750 runs were scored. Link to comment
Ram
So why not write that, mm ? Instead you quoted a bowling return from a Test of nearly 4 years ago where only 25 wickets fell and 1750 runs were scored. I dont understand. When you quoted 3 of Lee recent performances to show that Indians " will underestimate him at their own peril" why shouldnt i quote a performance of Lee against Ind in Aus to show that Lee is not such a potent threat to Indians as you might make it out to be ? Donny
See if you can spot the similarities, mm. I can't. 1. Lee's 3 most recent bowling returns - just weeks before the Tests against India. 2. 1 bowling return from 47 months ago. When you quoted 3 of Lee recent performances to show that Indians " will underestimate him at their own peril" My reference to underestimation was clearly in a reply to Shwetabh, not to Indians. Anyone underestimating a bowler who's just taken 16 wickets in 2 Tests is inviting peril. Link to comment

Muralitharan has been hugely successful all over the world but not so in Aus. Its been many years since he played a test in Aus till the just concluded series. He didnt have good record till then and his record didnt get any better this time.' Indians, in 2003/4, handled Lee very well and it is essentially the same batting line-up this around. So I am quite right in exuding in confidence that they will handle him well this around too. Link to comment
MundaPakistani
Tait, Johnson, Lee! All 3 men capable of bowling over 90 mph! Should be good to watch. Link to comment
