There's some talk of Shaun Tait either replacing Mitchell Johnson for the MCG Test or even being added as a 4th. quick, in place of Stuart MacGill. In the current Pura Cup match, the big South Australian is terrorising the Queensland batsmen. Bowling at express pace, he took 3/69 in the first innings and has 5/16 in the second from 7 overs. Queensland scored 308 (Chris Simpson 89. James Hopes 59.). SA answered with 366 (Matt Elliott 78. Andy Delmont 64. Mark Cosgrove 54. Ashley Noffke 4/73.) Tait had the locals in tatters by stumps. They were 4/24 and he had 3/15. All his 8 victims have been top 6 batsmen.

Indian batsmen would have their eyes lit up at seeing Lee and Tait in the same bowling line up.
Underestimate these two at your peril. Tait took 6/41 from his 10 overs in a recent domestic one day final. He bowled 14 wides. Richie Benaud always said, "Give me a bowler who gets 4/80 off 20 overs ahead of one who takes 2/50 off 30." Lee's last 3 Test innings: 4/86, 4/82 & 4/87. Actually, Lee's last 4 Tests on Oz soil - MCG, SCG, The Gabba & Hobart - returned 28 wickets @ 17.07

Actually, I also remember another occasion when Lee took 4 wickets, but his figures looked like this. Lee 39.3 5 201 4 :D Sydeny Australia, early 2004 Donny ?

your deceptive Donny...you don't make any predictions cuz you know if we beat you then we'll never let you live it down, but u go on and support your players and make these small comments you know will rile us up anyways, Tait bowls at a scorching pace, but when it hits Tendulkar's bat it's gonna light the field on fire.

Tait now has 6/29 as Q'land stumbles to 8/116. The one Bulls batsman holding up the procession is Ashley Noffke. He's 49 n.o. and is having a great season. I thought he should have been in the Test team ahead of Johnson. He has 27 wickets @ 19.8 and is averaging over 70 with the bat. He's second only to the prolific Simon Katich on the batting aggregate list. When one considers he bats at 8, it's even more noteworthy.
