They lost because they conceded too many runs as they had a poor bowling attack.

Sl chased i think in nz where shorter boundaries help but in aus under lights the ball does zip thorugh and day time is best for batting.

Good batting sides will see off the times when there is something for bowlers. They will overcome a few disadvantages. Pitches havent deteriorated badly even in second innings in most games, so the chasing side can still score the runs if they bat well enough.

In NZ you can chase down big totals, the pitches are quite good and favoring both sides in this WC unlike the Aus pitches where the batting team is almost sure of a win if they put up 250+ on the board.

Now ODIs have fielding restrictions for last 15 overs. 300 is chaseable even in Australia. Of course, anything more than that will be tough. 300 in Aus is like 320 in other grounds because the grounds are bigger.
