BTW in 2002 Modi won just 126 so if you foresee 135 now that tells about what Modi has done:two_thumbs_up:..

Two questions (1) What is hardcore hindutva politics
They will insist on building the Ram temple in Ayodhya, for starters.
(2) Why wud BJP return to that
Coz they want power.

No, it doesnt. Landslide victories are NOT always a sign of good governance. It could also mean a polarized electorate, which is what gujrat is currently

BJP will never build the Ram temple.. after all that will cost them at least 120 lok sabha seats.
Of course, they will NEVER get to the point of building it. But keeping the issue alive for poltical gains is something they have been doing for the last 15 years.

Communal polarization cud have been factor in 2002 ..Logic tells affect of 2002 must wane in five years and if Modi still goes beyond 2002 numbers then if u are honest in ur assessment u will have to accept it's sthg other than communal polarization.

If he wins this time, it will polarization of the electorate + Good governance. Do you think it will be governance and governance that will decide this election ? You are only deluding yourself then ? "Communal polarization cud have been factor in 2002" Could ?? :haha:

Uprorar from who - the pseudo secs ? and I suppose u are saying its a wrong thing to do ... so why is it wrong ?
You call them pseudo-secs. I would prefer to call them as people who are genuinely interested in the welfare of our nation. Take your pick.

(1)So i guess Rajeev Gandhi is purveyor of hardcore hindutav in that case because it;s he who started it all. Yes I do believe Ram temple sud be made and matter done over with. But u are over-estimating the political utility of that issue. It no lponger drives people so I don't see that happening. As far as return well they never dropped that from BJP agenda in first place. (2)Every political party wants to come to power tha is obvious. You should start answering why do u think that issue will bring them to power. IN my view Ram temple issue has out-lived its utility.

Of course they didnt, but they have put in the back-burner for sometime now. If BJP wins in Gujrat, that will be a massive fillip to hardliners within the party, I am sure.

Nobody is saying Ram temple is going to win them elections, but its one of the issues that they could bring up,again

by sweeping issues under the rug and pretending that there are no issues ?
Nope, that is what you think it is. Its putting the past behind and looking forward to the future. Is Japan still waging war against US for the nuclear bombs it dropped in WW2 ?

There is no way to judge these speculations so some degree of uncertainty will always be there viz a viz what made some party click. In india where the literacy is abysmal no election is fought on development only. NDA made the cardinal sin of assuming otherwise and paid the price. SO no doubt there will be factors other than development and good for congress otherwise they might as well not shave shown up. Issues other than development are at work that's why one even entertains possibility of congress win. On devlopmet only plank it is game set Modi 6-0 6-0 6-0. In nutshell other things are there but development is the driving force.

^ Of course, Communal politics have outlived their utility. But as i keep saying, the hardliners within the BJP will get a massive boost if BJP wins in Gujrat. They will definitely be tempted to play the Hindutva card in the next national election.

all you have is a extreemly bleak future when the other party in this issue continues to doggedly fight for a structure that is by all accounts proven to be a symbol of destruction and barbarity .... some future we got in store by bending over to such idiots.
Did i say we need to re-build the babri masjid ? No , of course not. For the sake of national peace and reconciliation, status has to be maintained there.
Japan also got an unconditional apology from the US (even though it was wrong to attack the US unprovoked to begin with) and secondly its population is not comprised of 20% US Citizens as is the case in our scenario.
You havent addressed my point, which is that japan has decided to put history behind it and move forward. And of the 20% population you are talking about, a vast majority are as much proud and patriotic Indians as you you or me.

last time i checked the psecs wanted BJP and its top brass behind bars for bringing down that structure ... has that stance changed now ?
Let the court of law decide that. I dont care what the psecs think, i am not. I dont subscribe to their views.
as I said not when there is uncompromising attitude from the other party even to this day. Ever come across any noteworthy leader from their side that is willing to acknowledege that the masjid was constructed wrongly ?
You cant re-write history BB. What do you want to do now ?Wish that the Masjid never existed. I am not interested in what happened in the past, i want to have a good future for all.
I have and it was Japans fault to attack pearl harbour first.
Oh, so killing a few thousand solders is justification enough to drop a nuclear device ? Okie
just vaccous PC statments wont cut it ... ground reality is something else .... werent the 5 million Kashmiri muslims also "proud and patriotic Indians" ?
so , how many of the 5 million muslims actually came to you and told you they supported the Jihad ?

That's where I think u are wrong.... U think it;s referendum on communal politics but I think it;s referendum on development and that's why i am not so sure about Narendra Modi's victory.. development has this inherent negativity about it which is that it triggers people's appetitie for more nothing seems to be satiate them and hence they might pine for change in face of development.. It's psecs who harp about godhara post-godhara that's what they have bene doing since last five years. Modi's miracel deserved many development based documentaries but it never interests psecs and then turn around call others communal..Narendra Modi talks about developmet and the present existing menace terrorism.. he has moved on like a normal being without some regressive agenda should..

this doesnt make any sense .... please keep track of the flow .... very difficult to go back and regurgitate things again. Its not just about history .... its about the idiots in charge of BMAC that refuse to budge from their position that there was nothing wrong with the original act of constructing the mosque even when scientific surveys have prooven that it wasnt. thats your take not mine. US was more than willing to meet Japan more than half way down the compromise route .... even though it mainly hurts US economic interests when they go out to woo Japan ..... I see no such thing hapening in the mandir issue ... all I see is bellicose attitude even when the Shankaracharya was willing to negotiate a compromise. Not me .... but in a recent poll conducted more than 80% voted for independence from India.
:two_thumbs_up: And eulogization of blood-thirsty criminals as king delivering islamic cornucopia should stop too .. Because, if that is Islamic corcnucopia then we have big problem and question of co-existance sounds like facade whereby you seem like buying time till u get strong enough to bring another round of Islamic cornucopia and we all know what that means for non-muslims..
