kabira
This were dravid's scores Adelaide 35 (126) 1 4 6 (16) MCG 9 (36) 1 4 14 (109) SCG 29 (74) 1 4 0 (7) He just scored 3 boundaries and faced 368 deliveries... During 03-04 series, he hit flurry of boundaries in Brisbane second innings and he never looked back. I think Dravid should go there and hit few boundaries early and thats how usually he settles down. Link to comment
fineleg
Kabira, You are right. Dunno whats wrong with Dravid now. He has tried to hit boundaries early in a few inning(s) with Pak in last series and got out. Maybe he thought he was being aggressive too early, and then tried the slow poke approach. Obv. it is best he tries to score a bit quickly initially, rather than slow poke! Link to comment
kabira
Dravid needs to go there and play strokes...go across his stumps and place the ball onside and run singles... Link to comment
apocalypse
Did you see the talk with Kumble after the match on Star Cricket? All Ravi Shastri and Gavaskar said is to avoid what happened in 1999 I think he is tensed since he has to open Link to comment

CC1981
what about the diff between 99 and 2001 bowling attack ? No difference there except that pitches in 2001 were a lot easier to bat on than in 1999 for the Indian batsmen. Link to comment
