I don't think anything racial would have been said....mebbe Bhaji just said "behn ch*d " or something about Symmo's mum...and symmo may not have understood. Sachin would probably be present at the hearing and nothing is gonna happen to Bhajji...it will make Aussies look bad and as the Aussie PM is busy doing PR with India, its not gonna happen , maybe a letoff with a warning.

Harbhajan denies race slur- The Age HARBHAJAN Singh last night denied saying anything racist to Andrew Symonds as India's tour of Australia was plunged into controversy. The provocative Indian spinner was involved in a prolonged on-field exchange at the SCG yesterday with Symonds, who was repeatedly subjected to "monkey" chants from the crowd during Australia's limited-overs tour of India in October. This time, the ugly issue might have spilled over onto the field, with Harbhajan being summoned to a hearing with match referee Mike Procter after play tonight. He was charged with a high-level offence covering "language or gestures that offends, insults, humiliates, intimidates, threatens, disparages or vilifies another person on the basis of that person's race, religion, gender, colour, descent or national ethnic origin". The offence carries a suspension of between two and four Tests. Harbhajan and Symonds appeared to snap at each other during the last session while the Indian was batting with Sachin Tendulkar. Australian captain Ricky Ponting became involved and held a long conversation with umpire Mark Benson, who covered his mouth while he was talking as if to conceal the contents of the conversation. Procter last night entered the Indian and Australian rooms and tersely refused to comment when he was asked about the incident. Harbhajan last night protested his innocence. "I haven't done anything — we were just talking. It wasn't even sledging — it was just normal talk out on the cricket field. I was concentrating on my batting," he told The Age. "I did not say anything racist. I do not know what is going on. I am here to play well for my country, to bowl well and to win this Test match. "This is an important game for us and we have a chance to win — that's what I'm focused on." Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland confirmed an investigation was under way but refused to elaborate. "It's all in their hands and it's not appropriate to say anything," Sutherland said. "I don't know all of the details of what went on, but I know there was definitely some incident and I haven't got anything to add to it." Australian fast bowler Brett Lee was unwilling to shed light on the contents of the mid-pitch conversation: "I know there was an issue out there and I think it's best to ask the umpires about it." Tendulkar, who was batting with Harbhajan at the time, played down the seriousness of the incident, saying the conversation was lighthearted. "A couple of lines were exchanged here and there," Tendulkar said. "It keeps happening every day. As long as the game moves on and the players don't cross the limits it's fine, it's good for the spectators. You sometimes also exchange humour and it's funny. " 'You seem to be very friendly with our bowlers' — that's what he said. 'Aren't you trying to be friends with me now? I'm a bowler, as well.' So it was just one of those things." However, the matter appeared more serious and threatened to overshadow the Indian batting genius' brilliant century, which gained his country a first-innings lead and a fighting chance of levelling the series. He and Harbhajan shared a 129-run partnership, and the incident happened when India was closing in on Australia's first-innings total of 463. There is a colourful history between Harbhajan and the Australians, who clashed during the recent one-day series, when he remonstrated with Australia's fielders after he was dismissed and umpire Steve Bucknor then had to separate him from the Australians. Afterwards, he said he was responding to "a lot of vulgar words that were said to me". "They think they are superior and can do and say whatever they like, but that is not the case," he said at the time. "They are very bad losers. They were beaten in the (Twenty20) World Cup and they clearly did not like that. "They are a very good cricket side, but that does not mean that they can do whatever they want to do. They say they play the game in the right spirit, but they don't in reality. There is nothing gentlemanly about the way they play … They think you cannot fight back and they do not like it when you do." He fought back vigorously yesterday, with the bat as well as his tongue. His innings of 63 from 78 balls was an adventurous and entertaining companion to Tendulkar's sublime and unbeaten 154, punctuated with unorthodox shots over the slips and through the off-side. "I have always believed that Harbhajan can bat, and Harbhajan has believed a little more than what I do," Tendulkar said. "So I said, 'This is the time to prove it. Why don't you chip in with some important runs because this is an ideal situation', and he didn't disappoint any one of us." hmmm its getting hotter and hotter .... I think its desperate mind games

More masala boys ....I think Bhajji joked about Symonds & Lee being naughty together ... anyway below is from the Herald sun A TAP on Brett Lee's bottom by Harbhajan Singh was the spark which lit the fuse for an ugly racial abuse furore during the second Test at the SCG yesterday. On a tumultuous third day's play, umpires Mark Benson and Steve Bucknor last night reported Harbhajan for alleged racial abuse after consulting with angry Australian captain Ricky Ponting after play. Harbhajan and Symonds had been involved in a heated mid-pitch verbal spat during play, which occurred after Symonds questioned Harbhajan over his contact with Lee while running between wickets. Harbhajan, who made an important half-century, took offence to Symonds' intervention and responded. The man known as the 'Turbanator' was last night cited under the International Cricket Council's Code of Conduct 3.3 and could face a suspension of up to four Tests. He was reported for: "Using language or gestures that offends, insults, humiliates, intimidates, threatens, disparages or vilifies another person on the basis of that person's race, religion, gender, colour, descent or national or ethnic origin." It was unclear last night what off-spinner Harbhajan actually said, but he told friends it was just "innocent chit chat", while batting hero Sachin Tendulkar said it was "about friendship". Symonds was gagged by Cricket Australia last night. The hearing with match referee Mike Procter is scheduled for after play today. The Indian Board of Cricket Control was last night preparing its defence.

why they summoned only harbhajan.?? wasnt tht retarded monkey symonds whos started all this>> why wasnt he summoned??
wow some great posts there....from zubin and vinayak1986 your ignorant comments are a sign you have no education, tolerance about people of other countries, races etc....it's as bad as calling all indians a bunch of curries, terrorists, caste loving, goat herding, call centre working money grubbing dalits.....as yes, i have seen some australians use these terms in the past about indians. its extremely disgusting from both sides but the issue was that sledging can only go so far, once you bring in race you have over stepped the line..... perhaps singh could have kept it humourous, like when glenn mcgrath asked heath streak why he was so fat, the zimbabwean player responded "every time i fu@k your wife she gives me a biscuit" :hysterical: racism = not on by anyone....
