The Lodha committee is trying to kill off cricket in India as we know it.

On Friday the supreme court asked BCCI to award all contracts after getting clearances from the Lodha committee. The SC also stopped the BCCI from transfering any money to state associations till they have accepted the Lodha committee reforms.

The BCCI sent a Email to Lodha committee asking about how to proceed with the IPL Tv rights tender for which an unprecedented 18 companies have shown interest. The Lodha committee in return asks BCCI to susupend the tender process till it accepts the Lodha committee reforms.

The BCCI review petition is pending before the SC and they have the option of a curative petition as well.

Lodha panel is now resorting to blackmailing by denying BCCI its rights to sell the IPL Tv rights and choke of the funds.

Will the likes of Facebook,Amazon,Twitter et al show their interest again in IPL with this kind of fiasco?

The SC didnt stop BCCI from awarding any contracts but asked them to be vetted through the Lodha Panel. But the panel went further and just stopped the rights sale. Before this the lodha panel wrote to banks trying to freeze Bcci accounts.

They are making a mockery of Indian law and are trying their best to kill of Indian cricket. Its a sad day for cricket fans. The only hope now rests with the GOI to pass the Sports Bill and end this arm blatant abuse of power by Lodha panel.
