DomainK
Bhajji's bunny is supposedly the best batsman in the world right now. What irony. And guess what, the best spinner in the world (warne) was Tendulkar's toy:D Link to comment
DomainK
BTW BossBhai, amazing work with the stats....just too good:two_thumbs_up: Link to comment

Dhondy
Amazing stat, that. Warne dismissed Stewart some 14 times, I think, but obviously not in single figures. Cullinan was dismissed by Murali on 7 occasions, and Warne in 4 innings, possibly for low scores, but only had 4.5 K runs. What's the explanation for the dominance of seamers on that list though? Top order players, the owners of 5000+ runs, are more likely to play a seamer when they come in, and would have scored a few runs by the time a spinner came on. This is particularly true if the team has a lone spinner such as Australia. Against India though, the spinners come on pretty early, and often from both ends. The most staggering stats of all though is that Atherton has had no less than 35 single digit dismissals to four seamers alone, one of the principal reasons for his career average ending at around 37, despite possessing decent amounts of skill and temparament, as you'd expect of a guy who scored 5000+ runs and captained England. The 90's team after the retirement of Botham, Gower, Lamb, Gooch etc was a pretty mediocre team. Anybody could have captained England at that time. England actually plummeted further down during Athertons captaincy. It only revived after Naseer became the captain. And became a top class team under Michael Vaughan (excluding last few series)... siddhu
Naah dont think soo .... because of the absense of maharathis like Mankad,Gupte,Bedi,Chandra,Prasanna,Venky and Kumble from that list ... the nearest single digit count is Herschell Gibbs vs Kumble (3 times ) and Michelin Man vs Kumble (2 times) So there is no other explanation other than Harbi owning the Aussies in general and Ponting + Gilly in particular. who is the michelin man??? The Outsider
The Vengsarkar-Hughes combination is pretty interesting because they would have faced off in only one series and to get rid of a top order batsman in single digits 5 times in a series is superb work. Link to comment
