Sachinism Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Happened to India the last time we went there (i think 02/03) pakistan got screwed over when they went SL got screwed, well sangakarra. but the situation could have been so different had he not been given out and i dont think i need to mention what happened this series are aus really that great?
kabira Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 well lets start in 92, thats when I started to follow cricket like religion.. I used to watch highlights every night on DD, and heard Gavaskar say "Australia are playing with 13 men"...That LBW in Adelaide 4 innings to Prabhakar was atrocious, india would have won that game. we all know about howlers in 96 and 2003 series
Sachinism Posted January 6, 2008 Author Posted January 6, 2008 these poor decisions are happening too often for a team to just be unlucky
varun Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Oh I long for the days of the Home-Umpires system. Atleast then the bias was apparent, and the home team didn't rob the visiting team too much for fear of retribution when they had to travel themselves. This whole "ICC Elite Panel" system is a farce I tell you :hysterical:

Did anyone read the Times of India? Chanderpaul in a private conversation admitted that had all the 40-60, 50-50 decisions not gone Australia's way, touring teams would have defeated them a lot many times.
kabira Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 even M. Holding once counted howlers and he concluded aussies got far more rub of the green.
bunny Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Was this in the Paper edition or in the online edition. http://cricket.indiatimes.com/Time_for_BCCI_to_raise_the_finger/articleshow/2677689.cms
CC1981 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 If neutral umpire concept is scrapped and we go back to home umpires, then one thing is certain : India will never win in Pakistan ever again.
kabira Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 >If neutral umpire concept is scrapped and we go back to home umpires, then one thing is certain : India will never win in Pakistan ever again. so true...
kabira Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 but we can always force PCB to appoint neutral umpires..
Sachinism Posted January 6, 2008 Author Posted January 6, 2008 its always gonna be lose/lose having home umpires wont really work coz its an easy excuse for any team but when neutral umpires are doing a piss-poor job what are we supposed to do
