And to conclude, from the point of view of other boards it's completely understandable.Their revenue shares were being impacted and were basically bullied into agreeing into the deal.Most boards r struggling for survival as it is it was kinda unfair to them particularly sharing it with ECB and Australia.

We should just expand the IPL into 4 months and 10 teams mostly on weekends to compensate for this revenue loss.

Hopefully we get competent administrators who can think along such lines.

1992:CA and ECB forced to give up veto.

 

1997:Dalmiya becomes ICC Chief despite tooth and nail objection from ECB CA and NZC.When Dalmiya went to take charge,the then ICC CEO told him that there is no office room of ICC President at the ICC offices.Dalmiya told him to get a room ready or the CEO and the entire staff will report to Dalmiya at his suite at The DOrchester.

 

2000:BCCI forces ICC to remove contentious ambush marketing clause that affected Indian cricketers.NZC tried to move a proposal asking for ban on Indian cricketers.BCCI replied by filing a suit in court in India,which directed the govt to make sure no money goes to ICC from India.ICC came to its knees.

 

2006:BCCI swings votes in its favour to get the 2011 WC rights to ASia.NZ-AUS bid defeated by 10 to 3.

 

2008:Sharad Pawar becomes Second Indian to be ICC President.

 

2014:Srinivasan becomes ICC Chairman

 

Everything in ICC has to pass through majority votes.Since 90s India has controlled the majority votes.Sometime by inducements,sometimesby bullying and arm twisting.

Other board's survival is not India's headache.Its not BCCI's duty to see that biriyani is served at PCB offices and that PCB chief and officials roam around the world on PCB's expenses.Same is the case at SLC and WICB or ZCB.They are inefficient and corrupt.

 

This money fairly belongs to India.

 

Btw ICC lmembers led by MAnohar shot down the idea of a mini IPL in september.
