  1. Wonder how valid is plate performance...
  2. I hope this is another fairy tale that will last the full distance... https://punemirror.com/sports/from-sushi-chef-to-speedster-irfan-umairs-journey-to-mumbai-ranji-debut/
  3. https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/harshit-rana-yes-man-gambhir-srikkanth-slams-india-odi-inclusion-10288507/ I think it is the coach and captains prerogative to choose who they want...i remember we were very upset with Dhoni choosing slow pacers and spinners ( that he knew , who were yes men to him) , though i preferred Shastri and Kohli way at looking at selection. I have seen other posts saying slowly the coach is bringing in tall fast bowlers (i am sure Morkel must be whispering into Gambhir s ear. Gambhir top job requirements are win , win, i am sure like Dhoni or Kohli he will choose who he thinks will do the job for him ...
  4. In India we have slow medium pacers who have brains and can pick wickets and super fast bowlers like Umar Malik, who can zip through defences with brute pace. But finally it's wickets that talk, i would rather have an Aditya Thakare than an Umar Malik. Ofcourse if Umar Malik gets brains , i don't think any one can face him ..
  5. There is rhythm and confidence , i remember waiting to see Kamboj in English conditions and he was touching 125 and bowling on the leg side mostly...i have seen icf fans are very critical, justly so, representing the country he needs to perform...and Bumrah and now Sairaj the standard is high ...but Kamboj came in with high credentials and from IPL (I saw some screen time) he was touching 135 many times, (that's why expected more) he needs more time, he has tasted representing India, let's see his determination now ...i think he will come back more mature, more better...
  6. Anshul was bowling around 135 and above in IPL, i know the speed guns in IPL show higher readings than most ...I wish England was an abberation, his accuracy will help India if he comes good ..
  7. True, youngsters feed on sports stars who have made it big and with TV broadcasting many sports events. I am sure many want to be the next Bumrah, i don't follow chess but I heard most of the current crop of Indian youngsters, V Anand has some hand on them. I am sure Kapil started the wave, i hope it will be sustained... And with fast bowlers we can win all over the world...i remember reading about Clive Lloyd who was traditionally relying on two spinners and a couple of fast bowlers, saw the power of the Australian fast bowlers and decided to copy that and such a small set of countries WI ruled the world for so many years.. Now I heard WI prefer the American sports like basketball...no youngsters to feed their national team ...
  8. Wow, when you are the best among 1 billion people, no mistakes, otherwise there is some one else to replace you ...i wonder how people like Sachin Tendulkar handled this pressure, i guess take one ball at a time ...??
  9. Let's look at his bowling this way, he needs to get exposure, the team needs to win, with both in mind, the captain has more faith in him than the other two pacers who are closer and have played in the Indian team...so most probably good.
  10. I did watch the highlights, Kuldeep Sen was 139 if I can remember, the south indian bowlers were around 122 ...

  12. Wonder if this is true? Mavi at 145 ? https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/india-news-older-and-wiser-shivam-mavi-puts-setbacks-behind-him-1500673
  13. Interesting one small tiny little country chooses differently https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/zim-vs-nz-matt-fisher-braces-for-potential-test-debut-for-new-zealand-in-zimbabwe-1496939
  14. How does Harsha Bhogle who got his MBA from IIM, qualify for commentry and analysis? Apart from the fact that he talks extremely well...i am sure Pujara knows what he is talking not like a manager
