ICF keeps saying let's get our real speed guns out into action .. and I kept saying let's try our tried and tested domestic players like Aquib Nabi or Mukesh Kumar. I think this is conclusive, let's now get Umran Malik on ... who can't get into any state team ...I think now that should be the criteria, no fast bowlers who plays for an Indian state team should be allowed to play for India ..

Do you forget the 140+ deliveries at the end of a tiring tour at the end of the last match , last day, last hour when everything hanged on him. The problem is his brain is wired only for near death performances, when everything is okay he relaxes and let's others do the work .. when he should be leading then ... He hangs back ...

I think they are too busy with commentary of international matches and their other business interests to have the time to look at new talents ...

Very true, I think the slowness was after his injury, he had a brilliant Yorker like delivery when he was fast, when he slowed down his main delivery was an out seamer like McGrath. Look at Irfan Pathan, he was fast and swing, people say he tried to alter his bowling style.

Both Karthik and Mohsin can't even make the state team, how can they leap frog the state players into the Indian team ??

Bias towards pace bowlers is certainly there, he admits it :-) , no wonder the ICF fans love him, rather than our Indian commentators, who love line and length ( actually i prefer line and length too, but good for our fast bowlers this IPL) . Maybe some other fast bowlers may be played ?? Later this IPL

Siraj i think likes challenges only, if we had substitutes in cricket, any time we need a critical wicket, we should bring him in he will bowl his heart out for you. The team needs to tell him we depend only on you , bring others to do the job, he just seems to delegate that job to the others...

I think Nabi will be better in NZ , much better. Just because Gurnoor is fast and tall doesn't mean he is better.
