Jadeja has lost us more LOI games for us than he won!!!

I do not understand why people defend by talking about what some one did 4 years ago , 8 ears ago. 

What matters is how good they are now .

Unfortunately we have some coward selectors who  do not have the guts to select some new guys and show the door to these uncles / non-performers. Shocking thing is there is just no vision what should be our team by 2019. 

Atleast MSD had the guts to says 2 years before the 2011 WC that our youngsters should play at least 50 odd games before 2011 WC. 

Why Kohli  can't have such a foresighted thinking or for that matter these Selectors . 

 

Yuvi - His time was over by 2013 .  He was exposed so badly by Mitch 2013 itself on Indian pattas. Still we carry on with him. Cannot field , cannot bowl , cannot run 2 s . God please  enlighten our selectors as to what we are going to get by selecting him for infinity .   

We lost 2014 T20 , This one added to that list .

Even today did he look comfortable when hooking.?  The difference in batting against spinners also so stark between him & Pandya .

While Pandya batted very well , Yuvraj was fiddling .

MSD-  Again  the best was over around 2013-14. Not sure will he be able to maintain form till 2019. We need to groom replacement . May be play him another 6-8 months and based on performance take a call.

Ashwin -  Please do not go by what he does in tests for one day selection. Please look at last 6-8 months performance in shorter format . Bowls real rubbish by trying to be over smart. Does not even bowl normal test type offspin bowling . Will  try to something else and makes an ass of himself.  If he is afraid that he will be hit for sixes, he does not have confidence in his bowling in shorter format. 

 NO way he can be your mid innings spin bowler the way he is bowling now.

Jageja - It was very clear that his bowling was trash in IPL. Any one could make that out . So no surprise he was taken to cleaners on pattas here .  

If you do not give any chances for 6-7 years to anyone else other than these players how would you find out who will perform. 

I bet Krunal /Axar will do better than him at present .

 

 would like to see :

1.Rahul and Pant  in batting in place of Yuvi and Dhoni/Jadhav.

2. Commit yourself that one of your spinner will be  wrist spinner in ODI - Try Kuldeep, Karn Sharma , Chahal , Rahul Chahar  in place of Ashwin  .

4. Ensure to use rahul/Pandya/Jadhav  to take on spinners . That means you will have to push Pandya up the order as much as possible to take on spinners ( Imad & Shadab were considered to be very good in middle overs -  Look what he has done to them in the CT)  .

5.There is a set pattern the way india play average spinners / part time spinners . Its been going on since 90s . They are happy with tuk -tuk singles and not loose wickets . We need to make a concerted effort to thrash such bowlers . That why you see many teams use batters who also bowl a bit of spin in PAK , Bangla , Srilanka and even ENG. teams .  If you thrash them for 2-3 games in succession , opposing teams will have to change their team composition which will weaken their batting.  I  am 110% confident that in KL , Pandya & Jadhav we have the fire power to get  one 4/6  every over and maintain a run rate 7-8 in middle overs against spinners . That should be the team objective .. 

6. May be till we find a very good wicket taking spinner , use either a restrictive spinner or a pace bowlers who can bowl accurately and yorkers /cutters . If Shami / Umesh step up then have these pacers +1 spinner + Pandya . Need try out Axar /Krunal. Can't find many others .
