Ganguly's omission

he seems to have the rite idea..but if he has said this in the media then he is being too outspoken..its better to have these issues within the team rather than telling it to the media..and v all know wat the indian media is capable of..so v need a smart captain who manages both on and off field issues wisely rather than an outspoken one..coz if the team loses badly and if the seniors come back then the media wud bring this issue up for sure..hope MSD knows wat he is doing..all the best to his young side..

Dhoni should speak the whole truth .The truth is Ganguly needs to up his S/R if he aims for a recall.. His S/R is one of the worst among top order batsmen in 2007 .. SR Tendulkar 33 1425 47.50 85.58 MS Dhoni 34 929 40.39 85.07 R Dravid 31 823 37.40 82.05 SC Ganguly 30 1120 43.07 71.93 Yuvraj Singh 33 1195 45.96 87.86

I don't believe it .... if this was the case it would have been a breaking news in all the channels and all the newspapers would be covering it.
Same here, this not even a direct quote from Dhoni, see what the website says:
“It takes guts to do that,†he reportedly revealed to those close to him. “I have no issues with their (Dravid, Ganguly and Laxman) batting. But it’s their fielding and running between the wickets which is a problem.†It’s good to the see the new captain having faith in his young side. But it should remain that way even if his team is run ragged by Australia and Sri Lanka in the one-day competition.
Now this is according to those close him [who are they?]. It doesn't say he said so to the press!

A little birdie in the Indian camp said that the mood was sullen and it had only taken the sheen of the famous victory at the WACA. “They should have at least waited for the last Test to begin before announcing the team and could have done the paper work quietly. By announcing the one-day team squad the morning after the victory they have only spoiled the environment and even disrupted the rhythm,” he said. On second thoughts, he said, “But you have so many flies on the BCCI wall that the news would have leaked in any case.”
That is what I had posted in the other thread 2 days back, and that little birdie was not Dhoni...that is why Dravid was pi*s*d off, as he wanted to announce ODI retirment after 4th test and had been assured team wont be announced. But BCCI secretary beat the seniors to it and that is why they are so mad, but it was NOT Dhoni who said the above

There is a stupid character in the Indian team management called Lalu Rajput who wants the coach's job. He thought seniors will back him and played their music, and then he wants Dhoni's support too. He runs with the hares and hunts with the hounds

This is pathetic decision to say the least: Here is my pedstrianchallegen for whoever has replaced ganguly: give me average of just 24 at strike rate of 70+ .. yes ur target is half of what dada has been doing since comeback ..
Over the last 20 ODI's Dada's average is 29 at a 71 SR. So the replacement doesnt have to do much!!! SG scored at an average of 25.66 and SR of 74 in his last 10 matches for India SG scored at an average of 29.7 and SR of 71 in his last 20 matches for India (excl minnows). In that period - 10 matches and 20 matches respectively - Uthappa, despite playing lower down the order where he has to go for his shots, scored at an avg of 23 (SR of 100+) and 28 (SR of 100+) respectively. SRT had a much higher average and a much higher SR. YS had a much higher average and a much higher SR - 50 & 44 respectively - SR in excess of 80 on both fronts.
