ravishingravi
I remember in early 90 s when Gavaskar was our star commentator especially on away tours, his view point was taken very seriously. Sure, there were occasions when he would run his mouth off, but it seems like he was lot more purposeful with what he said even if it was inciteful. Take for example this interview. He is candid, honest and seem like an achiever. I guess with all commentators now on BCCI payroll, they can't be too honest about their opinions. It seems that man is almost unrecognisable now in commentary box. Link to comment
