Bumper Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Speaking of stats, is Hayden our biggest bogey man ? He always seems to be reserve his best for us. The guy averages a phenomenal 64 against us, probably even more in Australia.
Bumper Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 How about Aussies losing a test in Australia conceding a 5fer to a bowler with a Malcolm Samiesque average (50). Doubt its been done before.
Anakin Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 That monster Hayden is the real danger in the next match
Grim Reaper Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 What do our top players average at adelaide?

Bumper Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Aggy (35), RP Singh (37), Zak (40) have a better bowling average in Australia than Akhtar (43), Waqar (40)

bunny Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Some real killer stats by Bossbhai and then I wonder why we struggle to hold on to the 2nd place in the ICC test rankings? Sheer inconsistency, knack of drawing/losing matches from winning positions and lack of good pace bowlers. At least one of them seems to have been rectified. Hopefully the other two will be and we can gain at least 15-20 points in the ICC rankings.
gator Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Some real killer stats by Bossbhai and then I wonder why we struggle to hold on to the 2nd place in the ICC test rankings? Sheer inconsistency' date=' knack of drawing/losing matches from winning positions and lack of good pace bowlers. At least one of them seems to have been rectified. Hopefully the other two will be and we can gain at least 15-20 points in the ICC rankings.[/quote'] main reason is inability to finish off test matches... in windies, we won only 1-0 inspite of being in a position to win very test there.... in england, we almost had the last test, but couldnt, because of captaincy(follow-on) and later bowling couldnt close it... against pakistan, we should have had it 2-0 atleast.... but the last test, we allowed them to wriggle out... and in the current series, it should have been 2-1 india, but Australia had just made a payment to Bucknor...
mhr123 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 This one is a real killer .... Kumble has scored more runs IN AUS than Ponting has IN India and at a better avg ... (172 runs for Ponting and 200 for Kumble ) Harbi avgs more in Aus than Ponting in India (22 for Harbi and 12 for Ponting) :D loll i love this:haha:
mhr123 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Sehwag - 47 RD - 115.3 SRT - 20.3 VVS - 55.3 SG - 29.3 last time RD scored at double century and 70+ runs in 2nd inngs
mhr123 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 That monster Hayden is the real danger in the next match i hope he's not fit before next match:pray:
sandtest Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Amazing stats Bheem, thanks for sharing. I hope this continues in next test match, given BCCI babus have tried their level best to screw the morale of our key senior players.
kabira Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 sandybhai, I dont think this will affect their morale..it will fire them up even more...BCCI had to select team before 4th Test, as tri-series will start in few days after 4th test. They will need enuf time to finish formalities with selected players...
Shehezaada Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Ponting has been dismissed by spin bowlers EACH time he has played in India...including his dismissal at the hands of our very own bowling coach, Sri Venkatesh Prasad
jaideep Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 is India the only asian team to come back and draw the series against aus in aus after being 1-0 down the 1980-81 series??? India also came back from 0-2 down in 1977-78 in autralia ..we levelled it 2-2 but lost the final test to lose the series 2-3
