Adelaide the ball will swing.. We should pray that we win the toss...I would replace Jaffer with KKD...Jaffer does not have confidence...rest will remain same.. One most imp thing I would want is to bat Laxman at 3...He loves Aussie pitches and we should not waste his form and desire..

Sehwag Dravid Laxman Tendulkar Ganguly Dhoni Pathan Bhaji Kumble RP Singh Ishant This is the best line up, as the experts say Adelaide is suited for both seam and swing and 5 bowlers is a must as day 2-3-4 is a batsman paradise. See the last match between in Ind - Aus ... both teams scored more than 500 in 1st inngs.

5 bowlers? Open with Pathan? You guys are joking, right?

we are 3 dayz away from the start of the final test.. Sehwag Jaffer --yes again because we don't have better replacement in this squad for him..there is one actually, which is Aakash Chopra, but guy is sitting in India Laxman Tendulkar Dravid Ganguly Dhoni Pathan Kumble R.P Ishant wat say??
This is good except maybe KKD for Jaffer, but I'm not sure how in form he is. Jaffer has screwed the pooch for 6 innings in a row. Replace him with KKD and you also gain a slight advantage in fielding as well. Also, two spinners is useless on Adelaide. The pitch is like a road.

We are just 18 hours from from the beginning of the final test. Any idea about the team compositions? Indian news-papers are full of whether SG-RD should have been dropped or not and the focus has completely shifted from tests to ODIs. I hope that is not the case with players. If anyone has any news about Adeleide test, please post here and bring your focus back to test cricket guys!!

^ why...with Irfan in , we more than compensate for jaffer, and anyway with jaffer failing in 6 inngs we have been practically playing 5 batters

Blunder of epic proportions if that is true. If we lose the toss going in with 5 bowlers' date=' it will be game, set and match to Australia.[/quote'] Actually Gambit, don't you think Jaffer has had enough chances? What is the point of playing him in the XI? Should we play him just for the sake of it? Then you can say that there is no harm in replacing him, but replace him with an opener, not a bowler. Do we have a replacement opener who can play better than Jaffer? I don't think so. But is it wise pushing Dravid at #2, even when he is not comfortable there? Too many questions!!!! Meanwhile not only Hayden but even Jaques plan to take revenge and tells us: Aussies will be back to their aggressive ways: Jacques Adelaide (PTI): After losing in what was a cordial third cricket Test, Australia would be back to its fiercely competitive and aggressive ways, albeit without crossing the limit, in the fourth and final Test beginning Thursday, said opener Phil Jacques. "We would be fiercely competitive and as aggressive as possible. We will approach it as we always approach a game, that is to play it hard. We will be trying to be as aggressive as possible without crossing the line," he said. Jacques, done in by left-arm swing bowler Irfan Pathan in both the innings at Perth, said he wanted to "get him" in the next match. "He bowled really tight lines (in Perth). He bowled a couple of good balls. That happens in cricket, hopefully, I can get him next time," Jacques said. Jacques said Australia looked for a change in fortune with Matthew Hayden returning to the fold. "Matt coming back into the side will make a difference to our team and give us a whole lot of confidence. He's a fine player with a fine record. "He's fantastic, has a wealth of knowledge. My mindset did not change too much not having Matt there but having him there will give the side what we need at the top of the order," he said. Jacques so far in his short career has had a good standing going with Hayden. "Every Test we get a little more understanding of the way the other plays. We are starting to work out when we're having our low and high periods. It's definitely good to have a regular player there that's for sure...".

Forget Jaffer. Drop him. But replace him with a batsman. Playing with 6 batsmen(one of which is Dhoni) has never worked for us in the past and 95% chance won't work here unless we bat first and post a total in excess of 350. Irfan is not going to make 30s and 40s everytime. We saw what happened when we went in with 5 bowlers and opted(what a mahaan decision that was by Dravid) to bowl first v England at Mumbai 2006. The 5 bowler theory will not work and relying on the toss will be a big big gamble.

But you can't include anyone just for the sake of it? Which batsman will you replace Jaffer with?

Yuvraj. Last chance saloon. If Yuvraj plays, I have a hunch he will do well. He is going to fight his way out of the rut and will attack OZ. That way, we are hopefully guaranteed 30-40 runs from him.

I'm not convinced. Yuvraj was a waste of space in first two tests, and he'll be the same here with track taking turn from third day onwards. Plus, he will be extremely vulnerable against spin. We're not even sure if he is fully fit or not. So, I'd rather have Bhajji than Yuvi in my team.
