Blu-ray looks like its gonna be the winner against HDDVD, but toshiba still does not want to throw in the towel. Till then all accessories that you might need is still gonna be expensive. You can't d/l blu-ray movies from the net (you can but its gonna be 20~25 GB) , so why would you want it? The speed is like the DVD writer speed a few years back. Remember waiting for my dvd to finish writing for hours and that was only 4 GB. Anyhow its your choice.But i might wait a few more months before plunging into blu-ray. With GDC around the corner, if MS surprises everyone by announcing a blu-ray add on, Toshiba might finally drop HDDVD and prices for better writers could come crashing down.
Rajiv Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 Zap, its a multi-function player, which can play Blue Ray, HD DVD and write to Blue Ray as well and DVDs offcourse I can back up Blue Ray movies and burn on BD-R, I can make Blue Ray movies in UleadVideoStudio, if I want the ultimate quality cricket/whatever Plus, you have something top of the line which covers everything out there and offcourse, the main reason, I can play Blue Ray movies via my HDMI video out to my LCD TV.
