IndianRenegade
The CB series has started on a rainy note. Two matches and both have been washed out. So the question is should we bat for more Telstra Domes? So that there won't be any delay or washouts due to rain? Or do you think it removes the natural element of cricket making the game predictable and monotonous? Link to comment
talksport
I am inclined to say yes....if affordable. It would be a HIT just like Day Nighters Link to comment

IndianRenegade
I don't think India could ever afford the costs of building such state of the art infrstructure BCCI is the richest board out there, If they can't no one can. Link to comment
Ram
Why shouldnt we build Stadiums with closed roof ? If not for anything, it atleast provides the spectator with a different kind of atmosphere. I would love to watch a cricket in match with a roof above. Imagine 50,000 spectators packed into a closed stadium ? The whole place will be reverberating ! Awesome ! Link to comment
IndianRenegade
Not to forget that Telstra Dome has a retractable roof, which means you can either choose to a closed roof or a open sky. It will at least prevent washouts and give the spectator his money's worth. Link to comment
sreej
I want to be able to watch a damn ODI without these stupid rain interruptions...I say bring on the retractable domes! Link to comment
yoda
I don't think India could ever afford the costs of building such state of the art infrstructure looks like you are in a time warp. Link to comment
ludhianvi
yes, why not. The money lost in washouts would be easily gained by using these kinds of stadiums. Having atleast one of these retractable domes are very good. The only thing is how this will affect the swing and bowling in general. Link to comment
Desi Cartman
Telstra dome is used for a lot of footy games during winters and it was built for footy but has been used few times for ODIs. The cost of building something similar is way too high if its going to be used for only couple of games each year. Plus Telstra dome's capacity is less than half of MCG and that’s why its used for cricket. M Cricket G .. Doh ! Link to comment
mhr123
As far as i remember Afridi hit the roof once when he played for world XI and he got 8 runs for it . Is it correct ? Link to comment
