Ram
Looks like it will certainly be a rain-affected match. With so much cloud around, I can see how its not gonna rain at all, in the next 5 days. I dont understand, I have never seen so much rain Chennai during end March, ever before. Link to comment
Predator_05
A good rule of thumb for predicting the weather: when India is winning, it will rain - when India is losing, it won't. Link to comment

Guest HariSampath
Its 12.30 night, another 9 hrs for toss, and still no rain here. Not much clouds too, just went out to check, there has been rain forecast overnight, but no sign so far. I think it will be ok and even if any rains, dont think it can impact game. I am hoping when I wake up I dont hear any rains ! Link to comment
Ram
I cant wait to see how the pitch's gonna look like. With all the rain thats been around for the last 2 weeks, am pretty sure the groundman would have been able to roll it as much as he would have liked. I suppose the amounts of grass will be within acceptable bounds, but surely, there's gonna be lots of moisture. This is going to unlike any other test match played in Chennai in the summer before. Still, I am pretty sure the captain winning the toss is going to bat first. Link to comment
fineleg
Should we go with 2 spinners? Just go with Kumble... What use is Bhajji if the conditions for next 5 days, some cloud cover etc. will aid medium pacers better than trundler-disguised-as-spinner-bhajji ? Link to comment

Besides, the prospect of bowling to the Saffie batsman on days 4 and 5 with a degenerating pitch, with 2 spinners in your side is too mouth watering to resist. Link to comment
